Meet your Posher, Janice

Hi! I'm Janice. I love all things vintage, especially as a historian. I teach a course "the History of the Garment" where I use many items purchased, on loan, to students so that they can write a history of an item: from raw materials, design (appropriation at times), labor, construction, environmental impact and sustainability. I often give a selection of items that I know have brand names or fabric that can lend itself to a very interesting history paper (i.e. Union made, Vintage couturier that changed the game, etc)! Always happy to learn more from poshers who are also interested in these histories with any fun facts they've learned along the way!
