janiehunt18 @danafinfin I’m not quite sure. They’re my moms hibiscus flowers 🌸 I LOVE them. She has red ones as well that are just gorgeous. They’ve been surprisingly very hardy this summer.

danafinfin @janiehunt18 I have one that looks identical, and the flowers get legit 6-8” across. Crazy! We have a dark red and a purplish pink one, too. Here in Oregon they start blooming late (August), but pretty much go until frost. I bet they do awesome in Texas! 😎

janiehunt18 @danafinfin we thought we were going to lose them completely when we had our crazy Texas snow storm back in February! And yes - they do get huge! Maybe I’ll update my profile pictures of our new hibiscus flowers every week. You gave me the idea! 🥰🌸

danafinfin @janiehunt18 you should do that! I’ve taken some with my hand next to it for size comparison and I always almost fall out of my chair each time I look back at it. 😂 I think this type of hibiscus is hardy to zone 5, which is down to about -10 to -15 degrees, so you’re prob pretty safe 😉. They do like to stay moist though 💧. I agree its always surprising when they look like they complete die back and they emerge in spring/summer like “oh hey!! 👋 I’m ready to party! 🥳
