Janine, I’m sorry you didn’t like the purse hanger. All you really do is place the round part on the table and at the same time, hook your bag and it will balance out. I even use mine on shopping carts so I don’t have to put my bag in the cart. Depending on the surface, you may need to keep playing with it a bit to get it to stay. But it should work! So sorry you had trouble with it!
