@mollies_closet2 I do have a few questions. Can you help me?
May 11Reply

mollie_bella
@jtparents6 Yes of course π₯°. Ask away.
May 11Reply

jtparents6
@mollies_closet2 I need to know more about the pricing, amount of commission Poshmark makes per sale, is it the same amount each sale? And what amount is that!? And is shopping extra cost to me or absorbed by Poshmark? I have lots to sell but need to know all this. How after that sale do I get my money? No one asked for a payment method for me the seller to get my $$ and Iβd like to know how all this works!? Thanks
May 11Reply

mollie_bella
@jtparents6 So you need to go in to your account and set up your bank info so that you can buy & sell. PM charges 20% of all items over $15 which stinks! lol. I always Google comps by putting in what I am selling and get an idea of what people are selling it for and I try to stay around that. There is a flat fee for items under $15 but I don't remember exactly how much. Once you sell something it goes in to your balance and you can shop with it or transfer it to your bank.
May 11Reply

jtparents6
@mollies_closet2 ok thanks. I just saw a credit card but Iβd like to use my bank acct. I didnβt see that option but Iβll look again. Also. The 20% over 15$ and then is their shipping also. Who ships and do I pay for my own shipping at usps? Thatβs in addition to the 20% they take off the sale? Thx and sorry to ask so many questions. I just listed a second item. Have lots but want to understand first
May 11Reply

mollie_bella
@jtparents6 Sorry for the delay. You can send offers for discounted and free shipping but then you eat the price. The buyer pays shipping and I think its like $7.99 π. You will get an email with the label and you print it out and put it on the packaged up item. Does that answer your questions?
May 11Reply

jtparents6
@mollies_closet2 can you recommend a small inexpensive printer that I could hook up to my iPhone!? Thx sorry
May 13Reply

mollie_bella
@jtparents6 Don't be sorry! I bought a cheap HP 3 in 1 printer at Walmart and I love it. I used the library to print out mine before I had one. lol
May 13Reply

jtparents6
@mollies_closet2 thank you. I have a question. If I want to sell one item. But have a pic of 3 of the same side by side but just want to sell one at a time. Is this allowed!? Reason being. When I try to crop just one. The entire mannequin does not show in its entirety. Donβt want to not follow the rules. I can send a pic of what I mean. Thx
May 13Reply

mollie_bella
@jtparents6 Yes you are allowed to post any pictures that you want.
May 13Reply

jtparents6
@mollies_closet2 ok Iβm getting interest. They are wanting me to reply by email. Do I reply under their comment or go and make a new email message ?
May 13Reply

mollie_bella
@jtparents6 No, do NOT answer and hit the flag and report it. They are scammers!! Only answer on Posh. They are so ridiculous, ugh sorry.
May 13Reply

jtparents6
@mollies_closet2 ok well I just connected under. So I guess Iβm safe. Iβll report them next time. Iβll never do a separate email. Ever. Just respond under on posh only Is this right ?
May 13Reply

mollie_bella
@jtparents6 Yes, they try to get access to people's info and hack accounts etc. You wont get in trouble, its just that they want you to be safe that's all. I report them all the time. lol
May 13Reply

jtparents6
@mollies_closet2 hi mollie. I was just wondering. How long is the average time to make a first sale? And can you look at my listings and tell me what you think about my pricing? Are prices too high, ok or need to be lowered!? Just wondering. Take your time replying. I know u are very busy. Thank you !

@jtparents6 I'm so sorry it took so long I had to go to the city to see a worthless Rheumatologist....smh. I seriously wasted my whole day, ugh. At least I'm back to doing what I love. Oh. My. Gosh. your closet looks completely amazing!! I lβ‘ve it so much!! I think it took me 6 or 7 days, something like that. I think your prices are great. I had to lower a little bit more in the beginning to just get that base. Are you gaining followers or have you joined any games?
May 21Reply

jtparents6
@mollies_closet2 oh my! Sorry. I need to go to a rheumatoid myself. My fingers are disfiguring on me the last 6 months. But i still enjoy working w my hands! Thx for adding the 3.99 shipping we will see how it goes. I added more this morning so Iβll keep adding daily! Thank you for being there for me! Have a great day!

Also, check my 2nd listing. Cheryl @cheryl1da PS - Be sure to make your Meet-the-Posher listing a million $ value -- you're worth it! Cheryl

However, the night-time party is almost always open to every category & sharing your closet to THAT party can also bring you more followers & possible sales! More info, if you don't mind. Yes, Poshmark charges $3 for sales $15 or less, then 20% of all items over that amount. The BUYER pays shipping EXCEPT if you discount your shipping. Then YOU pick up the difference. For example, Priority Mail is $7.45 at this time, for all items up to 5 pounds. So, if you, say, discount your shipping charge to $5.95 on an item or a "bundle" ( I can send what a bundle looks like if you want) YOU will pay the difference between the normal amount charged to the buyer
Jun 14Reply

cheryl1da
& your charge of 5.95. Please DON'T do heavy discounting! Just discounting your shipping to 5.95 tells potential buyers you understand the expense & are willing to "help," but you also want them to pay an "appropriate" charge to receive their shipments quickly. That's why encouraging Poshers to "bundle" (order more than one item at a time) DOES save THEM $ AND also makes YOU more money faster! Lastly, for now, I agree with Mollie on most of what she has told you. However, participating, by...

sharing YOUR closet every day AND sharing other people's (just 2-5...you don't have to go crazy here) WILL bring you more followers AND, after a while, sales. Treat every one with the Golden Rule, provide descriptions that offer potential buyers measurements (!), tell the TRUTH (if you don't know something then try to find out about it), compare your items with other similar items for sale HERE, at Poshmark ( just use the search box for, say, Napier Necklaces, etc) & you will see quickly how...

cont. listing, "attending" every "party," and still are worried sick about making-that-sale made me rethink this whole place. (BTW, Poshmark will NOT allow you to even mention another "place." Your comment will simply disappear! WOW! That was a well-learned lesson!) Dictating this to my Med Assistant, Katherine. That's how I am able to squeeze in a ton more than otherwise. Okay, Janis, right NOW Poshmark wants every seller to drop their prices AND offer $4.99 shipping. DON'T! I beg you! Their instructions make it "appear" as if POSHMARK will cover that discount! NO WAY! (Another lesson learned the hard way. LOL ) The people who actually run this place are scattered throughout the USA. Just TRYIG to actually CONTACT "Support" (I am not talking about reading

cont. info) can garner you even more confusing answers! I know. I keep contacting them about all kinds of "issues." IF you actually follow their "advice," & drop-the-price for even 6 hours, ALL that will happen is when you decide you want to return it to the usual price (the price YOU have control over anytime you decide) any LIKERS will expect that "dropped price" & the lowered shipping, t CONTINUE! Think about it. When, say, Macy's put items on-sale, the prices didn't just disappear. Nope.
Jun 14Reply

cheryl1da
cont. Instead, all those "sales" has bankrupted a long-time chain! People began to think of Macy's as just another discount store! HERE you have the opportunity to establish ongoing customers by allowing discounts when they bundle (buy at one time) 2 or more items...the more they buy, the bigger the discount. But FIRST, of course, you see WHAT they "like" ....isn't that what YOU would want? I am being a heretic I guess...but I am telling YOU exactly what I have told the Poshmark team! Just skip
Jun 14Reply

cheryl1da
the "offers." Don't believe me? READ the small print...once you lower a price, either to one or to all of the Poshers, you cannot offer that same discount to those same people again for another 90 days! Better to spend your time thanking someone for liking an item or items than to jump ahead an assume they have ANY intention of buying. My hospital system is located in Seattle...we ARE a fashion-oriented city. We also host the headquarters of BOEING, STARBUCKS, AMAZON, MICROSOFT...get a picture?

cheryl1da
(Oops! Forgot, the new headquarters for Boeing is now in Chicago, but still have most of the workers!) Anyway, think some 6-hour (or even a week) drop-in-prices is going to attract the still-working-folks YOU want as regulars? Right! No. And THEN, if they DO visit and you find you CAN'T present your own offer to these same likers UNLESS you drop your prices) even MORE because it hasn't been 90 days, oh, brother! Stay your course, Janis! (Personally, I know I hit several "likes" in your closet.)
Jun 14Reply

cheryl1da
cont. Not much time here. Anyway, I do it when I see either a seller (like you) that I want to remember, and/or I am comparing prices of items I am going to list with sellers I think are knowledgeable in some area. I feel sorry for people, like this one seller, who know an item's worth, but still (as this person did with me) fall for the Poshmark advice. She literally ended up listing a decently priced item for $85, and, through repeated offers, sent me her CURRENT offer of $30! Later, C πβ¨

Hi, again, Janis, I just went INTO the descriptions you are providing. I asked what so many Poshers will NOT ask but want to know before they THINK of buying. I asked polite questions. I shared listings. I truly hope you will "answer" these questions- not to ME, but to all those likers who just wonder then go to their next "whatever." I sincerely hope you appreciate the intent of these questions- to help you create descriptions & add photos to show what you are offering in such a way that

you begin to attract people who follow you! Your reputation depends on how well you appear to show & "tell" about your items. I had many more questions than I asked! It's hard with the space given for descriptions. So, yes, most of use abbreviations. However, they are commonly applied. One set of Vtg Rhinestone Bracelet & Earrings is SO confusing! Yet, to ME (someone well-versed in all manner of jewelry) that set is SO gorgeous! YOU may think the "ab" added means something positive. But, in THIS

instance (IF I am understanding your intent, & I may not) that set is just a stunning example of NON-"ab" rhinestones that will pick-up the light because it is a TRUE aqua/light teal (depending on how someone sees it) color! I sure hope this info is helping. Otherwise I don't know what to tell you. I AM here to help. But, ONLY if you want it! LOL Up to you. Take care & stay SAFE, Cherylππ

PS- Please don't answer ME! Answer your potential buyers! I often find that the description portion simply does NOT allow me enough space to address what I now know are MY buyers' questions.
