pdefors Hi there. I'm the one who purchased the g-shock watch. It uses a solar powered battery so the battery should not need replacing.

jaysthrifty @pdefors hi, i noticed that it didn’t turn on and I brought it to the jewelers and they said it needed a rechargeable battery. I didn’t want to sell you something that wasn’t totally working. I purchased the battery but it will be here February 5. If you want you can repurchase it and I’ll send it when the battery comes.

jaysthrifty @pdefors i put the watch in the sun like it said to and the watch is saying “CHG” so i don’t know if it needs a different battery.

pdefors @jaysthrifty cool. that means that the charge is very low so sitting in direct sunlight should charge it right up. Let me know how it goes!

pdefors and I'd be happy to purchase it without a full charge (as long as it does charge without issue). I can fully charge it once I receive it.

jaysthrifty @pdefors i wasn’t sure if the jeweler changed the battery when i brought it but imma put the new battery in and then charge it and see if it works. I’ll let you know.
