Gold filled means there's actual genuine gold used in making it. Higher quality piece are gold filled. They don't use it much today because it's a lot more expensive to make. All I know is the craftsmanship is excellent due to all the details in the piece. Thank you for asking about it👸👑🌹

@joannahayden4 I really like the dress however, the belt should have not been on the dress or you really should have made that perfectly clear in your listing. Now I don't think the dress is worth 30.00 without the belt. If you would lower the price of the dress we can work from there to be fair!
