pralinequeen Gold filled means there's actual genuine gold used in making it. Higher quality piece are gold filled. They don't use it much today because it's a lot more expensive to make. All I know is the craftsmanship is excellent due to all the details in the piece. Thank you for asking about it👸👑🌹
