@abstractdreams funny you say that I lost my Dito 14.5 yrs old last June to cancer it all started with one mast cell tumor we had removed and it came back more aggressive

I'm so sorry.💔Eb was newly diagnosed with kidney failure this time last year, so I've been kind of blue. I'm just getting back to Posh in an attempt to distract myself. The cancer diagnosis took a little time, they thought the "mass" was clots from the orig infection in Dec. She was 5 lbs of fierce until just after the 4th of July when she just gave up the fight.😢

@abstractdreams I'm so sorry 😐! I know 1st hand the emotional toll it takes. We did chemo for almost a year but, that was the toughest year of our lives!! We had success for a few months then It just went down hill with him. I think chemo works better on dogs than cats if I had a do over I would not have done the chemo on my guy

I took her to an Oncology Vet clinic, but couldn't opt for chemo, for fear of escalating her Kidney damage & she only had 25% function. That last wkend she stopped eating, and was hiding & crying a lot more. Mid afternoon Sunday, she laid down in her litterbox, looked @ me & cried. I heard "why" I couldn't bear to think of her in pain.💔

The only good thing I learned about chemo for animals is the doses are so much lower, because it's not designed to kill the cancer like in humans, but to just extend life a bit.👍🏽

@jenllan precious photo!! I am in awe of your pup🐶 my hubby took his police GSD (German Shepard Dog) and I for a day at the beach and shopping in Monterey and Cambria here in CA. We came across a beautiful dog similar to yours. The temperament was amazing and I couldn't get over his size as well as his coat. Honestly I'm used to how our dog used to act around other animals and people, but this dogs owner said that was just his character!!!

We have lost my husbands partner since, as well as our spirited black lab. We have one pup left, who was also a GSD but a female, who we thought would leave us first. Her name is Nikki and she suffers from grand mal seizures. Chuck was the name of my husbands partner and Biscuit was our "old lady" lol, the black lab. Feel free to share with me if you like. In fact I would like to hear more about your "fur baby" and the breed in general if you have time🐾

I have meet an Irish Wolfhound and the temperament is very calm and laid back.

This coming June will be 2 years that I lost my beloved cat of 14 1/2 year to cancer ( I have 2 left) and really have not been able to open myself up to adopt an Irish Wolfhound, because their life spans are so short. They only live about 8 years and to be honest I don't think that's long enough for me. I have done all of my research on this breed and really wanted one but, after my cat past away I am just not ready yet. I hope this doesn't disappoint you!! I just admire the breed from afar.
