Hey- I’m Jenn. 41 from Colorado and a homeschool momma of 1. Hobbies include skincare (licensed in skin/hair/makeup since 03) learning anything/everything, bargain hunting, and my newest hobby which is refinishing furniture. I started poshmark as a hobby and really took like into it so it’s something that turned into more full time time thing for me especially with the help with my friend Lolly, who is an ambassador on this platform. Some favorite brands of my are free people, anthropology, wrangler, Abercrombie & fitch (LOVE their denim shorts) American Eagle (love their jeans), and for athleisure/athletic wear I love Halara, Lululemon, Zella, On Cloud, and Fabletics. Most days you can find me I’m athleisure attire and a baseball hat- but when I dress up- I live to wear body suits or cute dresses. This app has really helped me find more my fashion sense, at an affordable price and see what is out is there— and I’m really thankful for that. Please ALWAYS make me an offer- I love offers and I’ll more than often times say yes to your offer and if I don’t I’ll at least counter offer. I want to clear my closet as often as possible to make room for new inventory to keep my customers happy and have them return to shop. It looks like they sent me a pair that was worn and return. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m going to bring it back to the retail store I purchased it from but unfortunately it’s my last 8.5 😭 I’m so so sorry. arbonnemomma Homeschool momma too! 🥰 also love rehabbing old furniture ..wish I had more time to do more of that but I got sucked into this app 😂 yeah same here started with cleaning out welp cause I got way too many clothes, shoes etc and 3 little ones I’ve bought too much for and in addition I’ve bought a few things now just to resell 🙈🤪. Get all that under control and I can redo an old family desk been trying to get to then maybe my grandmas old buffet I use in our dining room converted to schoolroom ☺️

jltracy @chasela you truly just made my day! I can use Siri now cause I’m not laying in bed with my daughter what I was trying to tell you earlier before I canceled out my own message is I’m stayed home mom that homeschool is my daughter so this is my current side gig and then I refinish furniture. I take like junkie furniture and I give it a total facelift, but I can’t do that if the weather is yucky cause I have to do it outside, but I’m trying to build this up.

chasela @jltracy yes! Saw/read your MTP page here and hats off to you! I ended up homeschooling my two teens after 6th grade and 8th grade through high school when they went through a Waldorf school from 4 years old until then. Not easy but also priceless at the same time to forge/keep a close relationship with solid mentoring in what can be a volatile and vulnerable age in kids’ teen years.😊

chasela @jltracy I sooo get that. For me I have MASSive respect for school teachers, have a few as friends and family, and the vast majority in this field are absolutely passionate about doing the best they can for each child.

chasela And it breaks my heart when it seems like today’s challenges of grossly underfunded school districts, lack of freedom in their teaching curricula, admin issues sometimes, etc., makes it sooo difficult for them to do their job the way they so wish to as they just want to help these kids learn and thrive.

jltracy @chasela 100% years ago ended up in court because administration was reporting things to the state that I was trying to protect students administration ended up getting fired. A teacher got fired a whole year later these kids were so scared and it was a mess so I’m happy to be out of the public school system very much so I’m happy to have taken my daughter out of the public school system. I put her a new one it just I’m just happy to be out of it altogether.

jltracy @chasela You need to love them support them encourage them and they just don’t do that anymore. They say no child left behind but when you offer help, they say oh no, please don’t do that so I will help my own child to make sure she thrives

chasela @jltracy I can respect that, from your personal experience, but is it fair to blanket statement all of the public school systems/teachers/admin into a collective ‘they?’ My teacher friends are doing the best they can with the few resources they have, and which US state makes a big difference.. Seems the federal govmt has their hands too deep in a place they shouldn’t be, especially lately, in my opinion too, sadly.🤐. I’m so sorry that happened to you 😢

jltracy @chasela some of my friends are teachers and amazing ones- but others are awful. We live in a very expensive state and our poor children.suffer because the teachers get paid spit! (Colorado) when weed became legal, the taxes were supposed to help the kids- lies

jltracy @chasela I made more as a substitute in my daughters old district than I did teachkng full time. Then last year we lost 90 employees in the district so they hired a bunch of random people. They can’t afford to live here- and you don’t even need an actual teaching license

jltracy @chasela actively were vomiting it had high fevers, so she would get sick from everyone else being way too sick for school and im immunocompromised (Crohn’s) and I would as well. Also the VP called me one day and said I “volunteer” too much. I said- can’t beg for volunteers and when no one helps and I do- yell and me for coming “too much”
