My 8mo-old was a total surprise. I'd said "I'm too old to get pregnant anymore," after my 41st bday & found out 2weeks later. 😂 how cool if we end up w/mirror image families - that's perfect - your baby boy as your youngest - 3 big sisters to love him!

It was a life saver! But it just changed so much & I still worked FT then so it got to be too much w/so much less return. I'd love to talk to you/get advice for making contacts to build up my biz here!!!

@jenyfurg The biggest thing that will get you noticed & shared, and this is a big deal, is absolutely 1000% follow the posh rules, literally, if you have any items in your closet that aren't compliant , your chances of host picks & shares from suggested users goes up exponentially when you are totally compliant. It's not a big deal, you've got a couple items that would exclude you from being posh compliant, I only see a couple things that are keeping you from that.

@jenyfurg it's so funny because I wanted a baby boy SO badly! It just wasn't in the stars for us but we have been taking about surrogacy, (I badly want one more, I had my eggs frozen), my sister was thinking about it but I think it would be too hard for her maybe. I just need to finally accept that my family is complete but it still feels like there's another one, does that sound nuts?

@mcjayne - Not at ALL! I nearly died during my pregnancy w/my daughter so I wasn't too keep to try again at my age. Well, I'd just celebrated my 41st & we had 2 fam members having trouble getting pregnant who're younger than I so I made the comment, well we're obviously done then! 2 weeks later I found out I was pregnant! No joke! Even had a threatened miscarriage & bilateral pulmonary emboli (BOTH lungs) & we're fine!

@mcjayne - So you just never know! Also I've had TWO separate friends who've adopted & had their original birth mother call back to see if they'd be opening to adopting an impending sibling. Both went through the wringer to adopt & didn't know if they could again so I believe in miracles - nothing's impossible! 😘

@jenyfurg Jemmifer, it's so hard to have a difficult pregnancy😰my first bout of cancer was in my thyroid & aggressive stage, i kept going into labor & bleeding, I was dilated to a 4 at 18 weeks & advised to get a late term abortion but went AMA (not an option), so Ashleigh, my 19 year old was 10 weeks early, she was over a million $ & then I went on to have Grace! Crazy!

And my first sale was a perfume then I realized those weren't allowed so I deleted those. Thank you - I'm truly happy for any and all advice!!!! 😘

@jenyfurg I hope you see it as me truly wanting to help, I'm not a posh nazi by any means heehee, but I will tell you, I didn't start to see impressive sales or others recommending me until I did make sure I had complaint listings, posh wasn't as strict when I joined & it's changed phenomenally for the good-you CAN make this a full time job that will help support your family, I'm doing it & the days I do chemo I sell from my bed😉 it's been a godsend❤️

@mcjayne - WOW about your cancer & pregnancies! I can't fathom! W/my daughter Neliah I was super sick & dehydrated. My bowel perforated & I became septic. Had to have a colostomy at 13wks & they said she wouldn't make it or if she did would have major issues. Glad we didn't play the odds either! Talk about similar paths!

@mcjayne - Oh we totally will have a blast in person! I'm seriously so excited to have connected! Yep it was pretty crazy - I went though a weird depression for a while after. I can't imagine what you went through emotionally after cancer and a pregnancy like that! 😳 Ugh - but yep the miracles and blessings on the other side make it worth getting through!

@jenyfurg Jennifer if I can do this, anyone can luv, I started posh because in my merchandising job, it would get very quiet at the worst time of the year, christmas😞I was worried about having things for the girls, then I was laid off for 8 weeks & tried to live off unemployment, it's impossible to even buy groceries with that! So I started out with some makeup & kept them in an IKEA sock organizer! That's how I started this😂

@jenyfurg posh literally paid for our entire Christmas, plus, it bought us groceries. I was starting to get some physical effects from chemo & wasn't able to work the hours I did, we were struggling, I just started looking for bargains, I visited consignment stores to learn but then I started to make friends at Ulta & I had so much fun, they would have be be their Guinea pig at tutorials & it's so much fun!

Yeah I've had a career & was a single mom to my older boys for 14 yrs so it's SO tough not to be working but I couldn't fathom leaving these two FT (& can't afford SoCal childcare - no point in working). I'm going to go read for a bit while the kids nap. But we have to chat more! I'll find an old listing to shoot you my # & I've added u2 my my prayer list! 😘

@jenyfurg I was just about to suggest that we exchange numbers because I was telling hubby about you & he knows how rare & difficult it is on posh to come across a likeminded friend who is genuine & the whole package-somedays this is thankless & frustrating, but then you sell something & yay! 😂rest & have some, "moi" time. I'm going to do the same & then I'm going to make chicken enchiladas👌🏼I've been craving some with homemade tortillas all week 😂

@jenyfurg As for the lady selling her Fake MAC, and how do u even get fake MAC?, she probably didn't know, poshmark ladies know our Cosmetics, everyone knows , that the Cinderella edition had only bright colors and 2 lipgloss and 2 lipsticks. And your right just admit they were FAKES, some will still buy, but I'm not buying that, lol. Nice to meet you, also and have a good night😀😀😀😀😀🎉🎉

Plus my family is biracial & my cousin has such trouble finding colors but not w/MAC. They do a good job of making quality for ALL skin tones & I really respect that! More need to!

@cdj69 - I know that Wish app that sells things directly from factories in China has had some MAC fake's for $1-5/ea. That's where it looked like her studio fix comes from. Then someone else mentioned a website on her ClassyOcean profile that said they found every cosmetic & all her Michael Kors stuff on that site. From what I've heard there are a ton of fakes out there for all major brands. You have a great night too! So glad to have a new Posh friend in you! 💐

@sissywithclass - Most say it just takes time. Once you have many followers (those making steady $ here have 10k +followers), feedback & regulars, it's less work (parties, etc.) since you have consistent exposure via followers. Till then parties get things seen, as only your followers "see" your listings unless someone searches for specific items you have. Selling general & vintage clothes vs. major brands is slower to grow at 1st. Check out @poshuniversity lots of good advice there!

@sissywithclass - Being in share groups is huge too. That way others' consistently share your closet. Your great bundle discount helps, since it motivates ppl to buy more at a time! Another thing is the pics you take & "styling" your pics w/other items so people can see how to wear something (& may buy the other pieces you've used to style it with!). It's frustrating at 1st but it picks up quickly if you're sharing other people's stuff (so they share yours). Hope this helps!

@sissywithclass - it just depends what you're selling & getting a rhythm down for posting. I use the app on my phone so it's fast but I don't have the volume you do! I used eBay & that's def better for volume sales of lower prices. Craigslist too! Look into Facebook groups for vintage stuff. Maybe just post vintage high end brands here (dresses are huge!) & your VS &luxury brands here at 1st. I like the social part cuz I'm at home w/kids, but I totally get not having time 4it!!!

@sissywithclass - So few understand this is a business for many of us! So many ppl want to BUY for nothing, then you look at their closet &they want to SELL for top dollar. That's what's frustrating - the not treating others as they want to be treated. It's frustrating for sure when it's your living! I hope you do stay on here in some fashion - the more grow ups running a real business, the sooner the younger ones will learn! 😘

Craigslist is only good for certain things out here. And yep, if your customer base is on a phone/app vs. computer - totally different animal! Yeah I have the time now... But I have to look long term too & our time is valuable!

It's a bummer it's so tough to travel w/inventory, because you'd make a KILLING in Orange County w/your inventory! There's a HUGE swap meet in Costa Mesa (Swapmeet at the OC Fairgrounds) where you'd do SO well. So much disposable income there & hipster (i.e. Vintage...) central! Lol 😋😂
