peggygodson Hi, Jennifer...Just about to wrap the dress and noticed something I did not see before. It appears the dress originally had side slits from hem to the knees, and someone hand stitched the slits together to close them up. They can easily be cut apart. Do you still want it, or shall I cancel the order? Argh...vintage clothing sometimes throws me a surprise.😑 Dress will be taken to the p.o. after noon, so please advise. Sorry for the inconvenience.

peggygodson cont. message: one side split that was stiched together left that portion of the uneven. It's a very easy fix. Either snip it apart and leave open, or if left closed, that part can be folded and stitched up evenly. I can't edit my listing to add a photo...won't allow it. Dress would be cuter with side splits; more of a tropical feel as the pattern suggests.😊

peggygodson @jenrogers804 I'm embarrassed to say that I missed this when posting during my fledgling Posh days. The dress isn't damaged, just the side splits awkwardly sewn closed. You probably noticed the label says to dry clean only. I would not attempt to wash or iron. It's that "old style" rayon that may get wonky, and may get a weird sheen if ironed. If you decide to cancel, I'll open the splits and repost. just want you to be 100% happy with the dress. And I apologize again...😞

peggygodson @jenrogers804 Believe me when I say I would NEVER try to deceive. Once photo'd, things are packed away until sold. I must've had a careless moment by not looking at the bottom of the dress real well. My eyesight is somewhat compromised (and I'm old)...so tiny things (especially on dark items), I understand. But I should've caught this. My business/customers are very important to me. I packed it yesterday and will send, but REALLY want you to be happy...even if it means losing the sale.
