hi Jennifer, I hope that kate spade satchel will work for you -- it's such a great bag! Women's satchels usually have short straps to wear over your arm, kind of near your elbow on your forearm. I have a lot of satchels for this reason, because they don't fall off of your shoulder and they're harder for someone to steal as they run by. They just feel safer to me. Thanks for your purchase!
