catknip Hi Jenny, I am so sorry these are too wide for your foot.I looked at my photos and do not know why Merrell did not size these correctly. I did not wear these and so cannot make personal comments on fit but the size on the box clearly states 6 as shown in the photo of it. I had 3 pairs of these all in size 6 and the other 2 sold without complaint so I had no way of knowing they would be a wide fit.I do post widths unless a regular fit, see my Birks.Again I am sorry.
