@jspittah Hi Jess! Great question and I’ll try an answer it so it makes sense, lol! From a buyer’s perspective, the only way to get free shipping is to ask the seller in the comments section of the item you want to buy to send you an offer with discounted or free shipping. Since I’m a professional seller, I’m on here a lot. So when someone likes one of my items, I immediately send them offer (Continued below. Posh has a 500 character max in comments)

@jspittah (Continued from above message) So, when you send an offer to people who have liked one of your items, you have to give a discount of at least 10% off the lowest historical price AND discounted shipping of at least $1.80 OR free shipping. Most sellers don’t offer free shipping unless it’s over a certain amount because Posh takes a 20% cut off every sale above $15 and they take $3 off every sale $15 and under. (Continued)

@jspittah (Continued from above) Say for example you were interested in and liked one of my items that cost $25. I would send you an offer for $20 and discounted shipping of $4.99. The shipping is a lot, especially when you’re buying something for $10. A way around that shipping is send an offer to the seller for the item minus $7. If you see something you like for $25, send the seller an offer for $18. (Continued)

@jspittah (Continued from above) If they accept your offer, you’re only paying $25 total whereas without that discount, you’d be paying $25 plus shipping of $7 (I round up to $7 to make the calculations easier) for a total of $32. So, by discounting the item $7, that’s covering your shipping costs. Does that make sense? Please let me know and I’ll clarify anything you do not understand. (Continued)

@jspittah (Continued from above) My advice to you as a buyer is to communicate with the seller. Use the comments below the item and make sure you tag the seller so they see it. Just tell them you’re interested and ask them to send you an offer! Easy peasy! Lol! Or, if you’re not comfortable asking, you can make the seller an offer. But don’t lowball them. The best way to get the best price is to get the seller talking in the comments. Posh is a community like Facebook, but for fashionistas! Posh encourages communication, so If you make friends with the seller, they’ll be more likely to give you a better discount! (Continued)

@jspittah Hi love! I just wanted to add something to the whole shipping fee thing on Poshmark. As I first stated, simply asking for free shipping would work, or in the alternative you can make the seller an offer for the item you’re interested $7 below the asking price. For example, if you see something you like for $20, make the seller an offer of $13. As a seller, I would accept that offer. But the best thing is just communicate. Most Poshers are super friendly!

Hello Jessie. I just received your star rating and comment in regards to the NBC backpack. I went back and looked at the pictures as well as the detailed description. It does in fact talk about the “used condition” of the backpack and that the “price reflects the condition” of it. If you need to please re-read. I am not sure that the 2 stars is sufficient considering all of the specific information that was included.
