Hi! I'm Jessi. Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to leave me a comment so that I can check out your closet too. :)
Beacon of Hope is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, serving low-income families in Madison and surrounding counties for more than a quarter century.
Beacon strives to tailor the assistance we provide to correspond with feedback received directly from our clients. One example is in our adoption of the “Client Choice” model allowing families to choose the items they want based on their individual preferences and/or dietary restrictions, though we do still offer the option of receiving a pre-packed food package.
Beacon encourages anyone and everyone who may be struggling to make ends meet to utilize our pantry services. Receiving food assistance will help lower a family’s weekly and/or monthly grocery bills, thereby freeing up valuable money for other essential expenses. For many families we serve, food packages from Beacon may likely mean the difference between being able or unable to pay the electric bills, put gas in the car, and/or purchase necessary medications.
Beacon of Hope’s donation-based thrift store provides a low-cost retail alternative for Madison County residents, while creating the opportunity for Beacon to assist families in need with emergency clothing and household items. Revenue earned in our thrift store helps to cover Beacon’s overhead operating expenses.
