Daddy's had 2 heart surgeries this year, 2 week long hosp stays, one when a blood clot broke loose and lodged in his kidney and killed it, we were lucky that's all that happened ... this last time was 2 weeks bc he was in septic shock with pneumonia and two sacs of fluid on his lungs, then they couldn't get his blood pressure to stabilize. He's stable now but he's so weak. It was wearing me out doing everything for him, I can barely take care of myself. Lol.

jodisjewelry I'm all he has tho, so I'm doing the best I can, and Paul has been coming over to help, and I've had friends stop by and run to the store and do little things that mean so much!! He has a lot of friends who come to visit, so that helps keep his spirits up. One night he fell, the noise woke me but I thought someone had broken down the door or something, it was a horrible noise. He had gotten tangled on his oxygen cord and tripped and he fell into a wall, which is what made so much noise!

jodisjewelry The last two years, I've prob spent more time at his house than my own. My dog always gets so upset when I'm gone a long time, so this time I took him with me... I'm so glad I did bc I never imagined I would be gone this long. Daddy spoils him tho, he had his own couch over there and he gets treats all of the time.

jodisjewelry He loves the cat, but cat's not too crazy about him. He hisses at him and Getti ignores him, but one time he hissed and swatted, and Getti barked and chased him, I think he said oh no little man, I've let you have fun hissing at me, but that swat, that was one step too far! lol. It was something straight out of cartoons, Getti chased him into the foyer, then into the dining room, almost knocking over an antique lamp! I was running behind him catching things as they wobbled.

jodisjewelry He has floor to ceiling windows in the dining room, so I've moved the antique furniture out of the way bc he loves to look out those windows. I've actually set up shop in the dining room, bc it's out of the way, and I can close it off from the rest of the house when he has company so no one can see my mess. With my ADHD, I have to spread everything out, with all of my orders I needed a place to put my printer and boxes and products, tape, ribbon, etc.

jodisjewelry Paul moved a mattress in there and moved the couches together so I can sit comfortably on the floor in front of them with everything right where I can reach it. There's no way I could do all of this sitting at the table all day. Then when I get tired, I can lay down and write thank you notes and do stuff to rest and not have to move all throughout the house. Lol. Getti has never been allowed on the beds, but with the mattress on the floor, sometimes I let him come snuggle with me!

jodisjewelry They sent overnight so I got the other on Mon n Tues, just by the grace of God and with the help of Paul n my BFF, I shipped 67 orders between Mon -Wed!! In the midst of this, my car wouldn't start on way to the post ofc Monday, I'm still at my dad's, so Paul had to come by daily to rush to the post ofc... Monday night after the mail run, he had to take me to the store for daddy, while we were at Kroger, my mom called and she was stuck at the other Kroger,

jodisjewelry she gets rides with Links, like Uber but for elderly ppl...but she took too long n missed her ride bc she didn't hear them page her, so he took me back to daddy's, unloaded groc, then picked up mom n took her home, then he got home abt 8, after getting up at 4 and working all day! Bless his heart!!! Tues night had to call paramedics, so daddy has been in CCU this week, he insisted I stay here n work instead of being up there with him, but they've moved him to a regular room tonight.

I had one horrible woman go off on me and accuse me of making everything up and using my dad as an excuse not to ship, then trolled my closet reading everything I've ever written, contacted other ppl who have purchased from me to tell them how horrible I was...

You can feel the venom spewing from her when reading what she wrote, all bc I hadn't shipped a present for her daughter. The irony is that I had her pkg ready n was just waiting for Paul to take it, so it would've shipped that day like I said 🙄.
