rozee07 I am new to this and honestly haven’t bought new clothes in years. After receiving a items yesterday and trying them on I realized I was incorrect about my size. Although I love them, I don’t think the medium and size 6 pencil skirts will fit. I want to change around my bundle but didn’t want to hit decline without giving an explanation first. I will make a new bundle, your closet is the best I’ve seen so far.

jmeds_threds @rozee07 no problem at all! The best way I've found to get my correct size, is that I've measured my favorite clothes at home that fit me the best. Then I compare those measurements with ones given by the seller. That's even easier than guessing on the size tags alone, because so many brands vary so much on fit! jmeds_threds @kmontgomery34 I shipped it within 2 days, but when I noticed it wasn't tracking yet, I reported it to Poshmark so they can check on it. I've had a few lately that don't ever scan until delivery, I wonder if that's what's happening here. I also would have thought it would have been delivered today. If it didn't come today, it won't come til Tuesday, since Monday is a holiday. I'll keep an eye on it, but it was shipped already.

laceyheartrose @jmeds_threds Just as US manufacturers sizes can vary, I'm sure it is true of Euro manufacturers. I'm an 8 or 8.5 US and can wear anywhere from a 7.5 to a 9 sometimes. I just think it is important to give the correct size conversion and then add that the particular shoe fits larger or smaller if they don't fit true to the labeled size. I think doing anything different contributes to the widespread confusion on how to convert Euro sizes to US sizes.

laceyheartrose The only reason I say anything at all is because I feel bad for all the people who purchase Euro shoes based on an incorrect shoe chart conversion and end up with shoes that are, more often than not, too small, if they can even get them on at all. My feelings come from my own experience learning about Euro shoe sizing. I purchased 3 pair of shoes, online, in size 38 on the word of the seller that they were indeed a size 8, before I figured it out.

laceyheartrose Each time, I received my shoes I would be unable to get my foot in them or I could cram my foot in but be unable to walk in them. That's when I decided to do some research and learned the correct way to convert sizing. I never wasted my money on another pair of size 7 Euro shoes again because I know that my Euro size is 39 not 38. That was years ago.

laceyheartrose I can't remember which designer's website I went to that provided the fool proof formula for conversion...just add 31 to your US size and you will always get your correct Euro size, then you can adjust from there for the variation in sizing by the different designers. I am shocked by how many US shoe retailers perpetuate the sizing confusion.

laceyheartrose What really gets me is when I see charts that claim a Euro size to be 2 US sizes?? For example; a 39.5 converts to a 9.5-10 or any number of other ridiculous double sizes claimed. How can one Euro size be two US sizes? Lots of charts will completely skip an entire size. What do you do if your size isn't even listed? I often see sellers selling shoes that they claim run small and I know that most likely, the sellers bought the wrong size using the logical 38 = 8, 39 = 9 conversion.

laceyheartrose They don't realize that they purchased shoes a whole size too small and write it off to them being Euro shoes that run small. Obviously, I have strong feelings on this subject, if you hadn't noticed. Lol I wish companies like Poshmark, Zappos and many many others would figure it out, correct their charts and stop contributing to the confusion surrounding something that is so simple.

They were technically shipped yesterday, but since it was a Sunday, the tracking won't start updating until today (Monday). jmeds_threds @roxanamaldo I got it off Etsy, but sometimes you can find them on Poshmark, too. Just search 40's dress. I like to narrow it down like "40's rayon dress" or "40's day dress", that's how I found the red one. Good luck! 😊

Vintage is actually my main gig, I had a vintage shop for about 10 years, and now do vintage markets around the Midwest.
