sheltielvr344 @czlovepink so sorry! I’m in Lincoln, we missed it by a minute barely! I watched a semi flip over in the wind and severe rain on south street. Half of my neighborhood lost power and a house caught on fire from a down power line. I felt very fortunate to make it home safe and my house was there and we still had power, though it did blink a few times. Prayers for you guys! Here’s to hoping that is the last of it! It’s still been looking ominous outside, I’m just praying the worst is over.

czlovepink @sheltielvr344 can you smell the smoke in the air from wild fire's in Kansas ? People can't get through to 911 either. We finally have power but most of Wymore is still out including Beatrice. I'm glad you're safe ❤ , tomorrow & next several days will be long days helping family & friends. If Kentucky wasn't all over the news , I would have never taken the sirens seriously in December, crazy crazy weather

sheltielvr344 @czlovepink yeah it’s so super smoky here it looks like fog. I thought it was all from that house fire, but you are probably right it is probably from both. The wind is so strong my poor little Sheltie thought she was going to blow away so we didn’t get to walk far tonight. If people think global warming is fake they need to come see this weather.

sheltielvr344 @czlovepink and they never put NE on the national news. We’ve had bad tornadoes here before like in 06 in Hallam and I don’t think they even mentioned it. You are right with Kentucky we won’t get attention but they also just ignore NE. Really not far because NE is an awesome state with a colorful history and beautiful place.

sheltielvr344 Hope you guys are all safe. If you need anything feel free to reach out. I can’t probably be much help but I do have power and heat always happy to help other Nebraskans if I can. I also would have ignored my phone warnings had I not heard about Kentucky. I was hoping it was just a southern thing but of course not, if there’s gonna be a tornado anywhere it’s always gonna be NE. We are the bullseye in tornado alley.

czlovepink @sheltielvr344 Yes , I can't wait for new years, It's been a ruff year It's really hard to see driving because of the smoke , I had an appointment in Lincoln tomorrow but canceled it. Thank you for you're offer that's really appreciated/ sweet. sheltielvr344 @czlovepink sure that would be fun to get lunch or coffee sometime. Even though I lived here all my life, I was sick for many years and most of my friends moved on. I’m doing my MPH online and almost done now, but I don’t have a lot of friends in Lincoln anymore. It been hard to make friends with the pandemic and all.

sheltielvr344 I don’t always check this, as it doesn’t always notify me on here, though I try to check to see if I’ve sold something. You can text me if you want if you will be in Lincoln sometime and want to grab lunch or coffee. My number is local area code, then 202-3388. That way not everyone will know the # unless they are from the area. I guess there are two area codes now, but mine is the original NE/Lincoln area one. I’m Jessica btw.
