npshop3 I noticed you commented on an LV bag that you thought was fake. You mentioned the stitching and the LV was wrong... can you be more specific? I was also looking at that bag, but thankful I saw your comment first. :)

jgladst2 @npshop3 yes .. check Lollipuff and other authentication sites. They can give you a guide. I always pay attention to the stitching.. real LV is super specific and they never mess up on details like that. I also noticed that the LV stamp was off. Not to say that the seller didn't believe hers wasn't real, she may have been sold a fake one (And the cycle continues!) Lmk if u have any specific questions! :)

jgladst2 @npshop3 generally, the spacing and count of the stitching is very particular. Look at some real bags of the same style and compare every detail especially stitching on handles. Also, the stamp logo (the L and O are very specific on all auth LV bags). The L and O kind of look like they occupy the same space (the O looks super big)

jgladst2 @npshop3 yup it worked! Ok so the LV stamp (Not on side of bag) but on inside is wrong.. They don't use LV logo, but Louis Vuitton is always spelled out. The stitching on the handles is sloppy and not evenly done. Never would happen on a real bag (compare to real for comparison). The side stamp is faded, which especially would never happen on a 2016

jgladst2 @npshop3 even on a vintage, the stamp wouldn't be in that bad of shape. It just doesn't look right. Look up a real one on their website or on Tradesy or something. Pay attention to detail. No fake ever gets it perfectly right.

npshop3 @jgladst2 - Wow! You're good! Is the outside tab/stamp incorrect because of the stitching? I thought the pointed "V" is supposed to reach the "R" (R).....?

jgladst2 @npshop3 I didn't even look at the stamp itself (the one on the outside).. it is so faded that a 2016 never would be that bad of shape.. even if let's say, it went through bad treatment and it did fade that much in a year, the rest of the bag is impeccable. Means outside tag is not real, with rest of stitching and interior stamp wrong, I'd say most if not all is non auth

jgladst2 @npshop3 real LV stamps are very crisp and even if they are years old, you very much can see every line in the stamp. I've seen vintages with interior staining and leather damage, but that stamp is still crisp.

npshop3 @jgladst2 - I just looked at several inside tags and the LV (made in U.S.A. of imported materials) is not spelled out. It's always an LV inside a circle - those are fake?

jgladst2 @npshop3 that I'm not sure of tbh... I was more taken aback by the stitching and side stamp fading, but given the price, Poshmark will authenticate prior to you getting the bag anyway. If you want to try it, go for it! If you are interested in the bag, you still have buyer protection. Go for it girl! :) I don't want to discourage you at all, but I just found it a little suspicious & it's a big purchase to not be sure of.

npshop3 @jgladst2 - I get it. It is a major purchase, and I have already seen replicas/fakes, and I'm new to this, so I have been a little discouraged. I thought this site was supposed to be top notch and monitored, but apparently, there are many bags going unmonitored....

jgladst2 @npshop3 definitely. I was shocked too. I love poshmark, don't get me wrong, but you have to really hit it big if you find an authentic bag for a real reduced price.. they're out there, but definitely do your research. If u ever have any questions, I'm always a free reference! Haha I'm no expert, but I'm always on the hunt too, so I'll keep a look out <3
