oneinamillionjj @missjillnana That's too funny! Yes a soap opera in the late 70s! Me too! And then for my middle name they weren't sure if Rachel was spelled 'el' or 'al' so I got it all - Rachael. Most of my family, both immediate & extended call me Jill & always have. It sounds weird to hear them call me Jillian. When I tell ppl my name, I always say Jillian though & only someone that's known me for a long time might call me Jill & that's usually from hearing my family say it.

missjillnana @oneinamillionjj lol so funny I’m basically the same, family & long time friends can call me Jill but I always introduce as Jillian and definitely professionally I’m Jillian. For the longest time my parents spelled my middle name Rachael then I saw my birth certificate and it was Rachel. Where did you grow up? I’m from CT originally, now I live on Oak Island off the NC coast.

oneinamillionjj @missjillnana hahaha awesome! I live in Minnesota. I've moved around to a few neighboring suburbs, but currently I'm within a mile of where I grew up. Better than my sister though, she ended up moving just down the street from our parents home. Crazy! I'll have to tell my mom about stumbling across you. I want to say "our" name came from either All My Children or General Hospital. Lol. She's said it a million times, but since I'm not familiar with it I don't remember.

missjillnana @oneinamillionjj my mom watched All my Children too! Omg I just think it’s so funny to have this much in common with someone lol. I wondered if maybe our moms were childhood friends or something lol. My bday is 9/23 and I meet so many people with that same bday so I thought that was funny, like we were attracted together by astrology. Then to meet someone with the same name and inspired by the same soap opera is hilarious!

I'm on a social media hiatus at the moment bcuz it's so distracting for me but I'm friends with 2 ppl I have absolutely no affiliation with bcuz they share my name (1 is my married name & one my maiden) Its just so odd .. u think u have a fairly uncommon name & then u get on a platform lk this or fb that have millions of ppl, only to find another Jillian Rachel in NC
