ladylilyfern @saltfox I worked on the bench in the mitochondrial DNA lab for about 5 years, now I'm in the Quality Assurance department. It's a horrifying new level of detail orientation for even the most detail-oriented. When things go wrong in casework, they can go VERY wrong VERY fast. And QA gets involved to make sure corrections are made, protections put in place to avoid recurrence, etc.

ladylilyfern @saltfox But I've actually be out of work for several months now due to some awful medical issues. I have the neck of a 90 year old woman. So I got a disc replaced with an artificial disc implant, then got into a car accident 4 weeks out of surgery, and finally now had a revision surgery to take the implant out and fuse the 2 vertebrae. So that leaves me here, spending pretty much all the on PM while I heal!
