jodiemosley @marspaige this is my first purchase...I may want to try and sell items in the future..I have a few questions: Who pays for shipping, poshmark or seller? Does poshmark get any money for the transaction?

marspaige @jodiemosley All great questions. The buyer pays for shipping and Poshmark takes 20% of what the buyer pays. The seller gets 80%. I hope this helps and just let me know if any other questions. Again welcome to Poshmark and I hope you have a great experience on here!

marspaige @jodiemosley I should have added that a seller can as part of an offer cover some or all of the shipping so less for the buyer and Poshmark sometimes offers discounted shipping they cover when doing promotions to have sellers lower their prices to buyers. llamallamavtg @jodiemosley Just snooping on your page! :) Poshmark doesn’t send shipping supplies, but you can order free shipping supplies from USPS on their website. Anything that is Priority Mail, but be careful not to get anything marked as Priority Mail Express, just regular priority mail. I’d suggest ordering some padded flat rate envelopes and medium flat rate boxes to get started with selling. :)

llamallamavtg @jodiemosley but they do send the pre-paid postage to your email address. It works for anything up to 5 pounds, and if anything is ever over 5 pounds, you have to purchase extra postage, but 5 lbs is usually more than enough!

greenize11864 Thanks for the offer on my coach bag. I would love to sell it for that price but I just listed it today and there’s a lot of interest so for now I am firm on the price. Also, posh takes such a huge cut from the seller so I’d be getting much less than listed. It’s really cute. Think about it and if you decide to get it, check back to see if it’s still available. :)
