It's not a little hair, I feel like you might be blind to the amount. I do a lot of shopping online and I've never seen anything like this, the smell isn't acceptable either. Why would I be ok with that? I love my animals and I make sure to clean everything I own on a regular basis, especially if I'm selling it. Honestly you should be asking yourself about that washing machine, not me. Use it, it does wonders...
