@ponnalar thank you! ?? I have made offers on some items and a few things were accepted but when I look at the items now there is a shipping charge. Yesterday there was no shipping charge on any of the orders. Can you explain why shipping charges were added? Thanks in advance!

@jonicook29 Hi Joni. USPS Priority shipping is always included and the Poshmark negotiated rate is $7.45 for up to 5 pounds. It can seem like a lot but it includes tracking and insurance and is expedited shipping. It is less than the rate you find at the post office. That being said, the question becomes who pays the shipping charge. Most times it is the buyer. However, there are times that the seller will offer free shipping and pick up the shipping cost.

Sometimes the seller will offer a shipping discount with the seller picking up the rest of the cost. And, sometimes, Poshmark will offer a shipping discount or free shipping. For expensive purchases many sellers will offer free shipping.Each closet is independently run and prices are set by the seller. So, you can make an offer to the seller. Just remember that the seller has to pay a percentage fee to Poshmark on every sale and maybe recover the cost of item.

Quite a bit of info but hopefully it helped explain why shipping charges may vary. A tip is to bundle a sale. When you purchase 2 or more items at the same time in a bundle, you only pay shipping cost once. Up to 5lbs.Also, sellers usually offer a discount for multiple item sales. Whew! HTH. Happy Poshing!

@ponnalar It looks to me like I’m getting charged 7.45 for each purchase I’m making and I’m sure that each purchase is much less than 5 lbs. do you bundle the purchases on the same day together

@jonicook29 Did you buy from the same closet? Sellers have no way to know what you bought from other sellers. Each purchase is going to have a shipping charge. Unless you bundle from the same seller and buy at the same time. To see how to bundle you can go to a closet and look at an item. Underneath the buy or make an offer is a small icon that says bundle. If you like an item, click the bundle icon. Then choose another item and click bundle again. See how it looks.

Think of Poshmark as a community of individual sellers. Their closet is their store. You may have purchased items that weigh less than the 5 lbs but it is still the same cost. Go to USPS and price the prepaid priority boxes. The smallest is $8.45. Mailing is expensive.
Even most large companies now say free shipping starts at a purchase of $75 or even $100. Target's minimum is $35.00

You could also send Poshmark customer service a question about why some of your purchases were free and others not. They can bring up your purchase history and give you an explanation. I hope I have been helpful. Poshmark really is a great place!
