Josh, I read a comment you wrote for an Abercrombie sweater: Maroon Forked Lake (hand knit.) Do you own one? If yes, what size?

@justin_mbsc more than likely. I have about all the Abercrombie holiday hand knit sweaters. Medium. What’s that one look like?

@lovingsillyguy Snowflake pattern with 3 buttons; not the full button cardigan. Can you do me a favor: let me know the chest measurement (underarm to underarm)? I have an opportunity to buy one, but I can’t find this measurement on any marketplace. And in the late naughts, the A&F brand sizing was... not accurate. E.g.: I fit Large size “muscle fit” t-shirts, but the small size jackets were too big.

@justin_mbsc in my experience with the hand knit sweaters, they all tend to vary a little bit. The Medium I have is 19” from pit to pit, 26” top to bottom, 17” shoulder to shoulder and 26” should to cuff. Hope this helps.

@lovingsillyguy Very helpful! I have three Ezra Fitch hand knits (2004) in Medium, and they’re 20/21 inches across the chest. No doubt one or two were washed, dried and shrunk. It may be the case that the “muscle fit” hand knits from 07/08 are sized down.

Thanks for the sizing advice. I purchased a large Forked Lake (Snowflake), and it fits really well... pretty sure it’s been washed and shrunk. Truly, these are amazing sweaters. If you have the Forked Lake fair-isle and one day you want to sell it, then let me know.

@justin_mbsc You’re welcome! You can resize the sweaters to the shape you want, within reason. Hand wash, then block to the size you want. They will stretch at least a size or two, without harming the yarn. The blocks you can get at any craft store. I’ve bought a few things off Poshmark I could tell people washed and reblocked them to my size.

@justin_mbsc I may be looking to get rid of some of my chunky knit A&F sweaters. You interested?

@lovingsillyguy I am interested! Any chance you have the Ezra Fitch fair isle print or any of the full button closure solid color wool sweaters?

@justin_mbsc I have 11 of them in all. I’m not looking to get rid of all of them. Maybe like 3 or 4 of them. I only have 1 solid color and it’s an A&F one.
