1birdgirl Hey! The leather is peeling?! I bought two pairs one white one black and never saw that. If you could notify Poshmark with pictures I'd be more than happy to refund you. I honestly didn't see that. My black pair seems fine and I've been wearing three around the house daily anxious for warm weather. I'm curious where the leather is peeling?

1birdgirl Actually, since they're new hem they would be defective. Wouldn't Birkenstock replace them with a new pair as I would imagine they would stand by their product.

falloutjoy @1birdgirl I sent the pictures to Poshmark but they said they couldn't do anything since I released the funds when I received the item. Birkenstock USA says they only do exchanges within 30 days and I don't have proof of purchase. 😕 The white part of the leather is peeling from the left shoe on the left side of the large buckle.

falloutjoy @1birdgirl I added the pics I sent to posh to this listing. I don't think there's anything to be done though, posh was really dismissive when I wrote them. 😕

1birdgirl @falloutjoy oh my gosh!!!! Holy cow!!! I had no idea!!! That sucks in a very big way and I would NEVER have listed them had I know that. I listed them the day I purchased the two pairs (keeping one for myself. They both were new. Are they knock offs?! Look real to me. I need to get you your money back. Before that, would you consider contacting customer service at Birkenstock?

1birdgirl @falloutjoy because it shouldn't matter where you got them from. It's their product and companies like that tend to stand by them. Please keep me posted. You 100% deserve a refund or a new pair from Birkenstock.

1birdgirl Also, something can be done. You send the crap sandals back to me if Birkenstock isn't helpful and I send you a check for what you paid including the shipping back to me. Cross my heart. I will do that for you.

falloutjoy @1birdgirl Posh ended up giving me a $25 credit, so I was researching if I could use some sort of leather glue because I do like the shoes lol. I think they look authentic, but I've only ever had one other pair! Thanks for offering to do a refund outside of posh, I really do appreciate it! That's really nice of you to go above and beyond. I think I'll try to see if I can glue them or something. 🤷‍♀️

1birdgirl @falloutjoy My husband and I looked up any and all of the pictures I had taken and sure enough there it is. I researched the sandal on Birk site and it said keep away from extreme heat. I didn't even know there were two layers to the fabric. Maybe someone stored them by a heat source. Best of luck with repair. Hit me up for a refund if unsuccessful.
