dianesteinberg Hi Julia - you have beautiful items in your closet. Not many people are seeing them. I hope you don't mind a suggestion of going into other Poshers closets and sharing their items - most likely they will reciprocate and share your items. That's how you build up a huge amount of followers. I also hope you are going to the "parties" that are relevant to what you have. A lot of people will see your items there also.

dianesteinberg Julie is right - you will receive a message that someone bought something, or, people will often send you an offer (meaning they are asking for a lower price) - you will have the option of accepting the offer, declining the offer, or sending a "counteroffer"

dianesteinberg Example: You have something marked at $20 - someone sends an offer of $15 - you can accept that amount - if you do, then it's absolutely a sale for you. Or, you might send a counteroffer of $17 - they might accept that or not. They pay for shipping - Poshmark sends an e-mail which includes a shipping label - it is for Post Office priority mail - don't want to keep adding things which end up looking hard but are really easy

belotek Welcome to Poshmark! There are some great tutorials on YouTube that helped me in the beginning. The 1st one to watch is by Leah Kirchinger. belotek @julie1257. Watch Leah Kirchinger tutorials is the first thing I would recommend. 2nd do some lay flat pictures with measurements. In the heading list the manufacturer name especially if it's a major brand such as Anthropologie Etc.. share other peoples items and they will share yours, find more people to follow you. It takes a time to build your network of followers. Those are some immediate things you can do but watch the tutorials first!! She has several on YouTube.

belotek @julie1257 first of all, don’t freak out. It takes a while to start selling. Now, make sure your descriptions are clear. For example, don’t say”jeans” for your heading. Name the brand, color, size and type (I.e, boot cut) . Share your closet at least 3 times a day. Watch Leah Kirchinger and do what she says!

dianesteinberg It;s been a rough few weeks - I lucked out by selling two North Face things - gloves and hat that I don't use, and I accepted a very low price.. If you take a look at how many things I share, I think that helps - I think you need to share some more items - try to find a few people each day - people with somewhere between 20 and 50 items - the people who have a huge amount don't need to share anymore - you want to build up lots of people. That takes a lot of time.

dianesteinberg I shared some of your items to the "gift" party that is happening now - whatever wouldn't go into that I shared to my followers. Also, if you can add one or two more items to your closet each week that would be great. Let me know how it goes - I always mean to check up on people but I forget. One woman just made her first sale last week - it's very exciting! It's a rough start but the work at the beginning pays off later!

dianesteinberg Hi Julia - looking good - I see you shared some more, and added some things - it takes patience and time but I see it working now - I joined in May, and it was about 2 or 3 months for my first sale - some slow times, and I don't have a huge amount, but it does add up!

It also means you're a mentor, helper, etcI I do see the potential here. I do love the atmosphere.
