clknox48 Hi — your art jewelry pieces are wonderful and interesting! Can you tell me what the base of the bangles are made of please? Are they papier-mâché over a wood base? And do you by chance have another Botero bangle? Thanks so much!

juliewishmeyer @clknox48 Thanks for your nice compliment. The bases of the bracelet are metal, wood or plastic/acrylic. I do have another Botero bangle made with a wood base. The technique I use is like Papier-mâché. Paper is glued to the bracelet and then sealed to it. I then paint around the pictures and seal everything again and finish with a glossy varnish. I also paint the inside of the bracelet so you see nothing of the original material. I will notify you when I post the Botero bangle. Thanks!
