I have a rare genetic condition called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome which affects connective tissue right throughout my body. In my case it has caused further even rarer conditions of severe instability in my spine and between my spine and skull. My skull and vertebra are not connected well so they move in ways they shouldn’t. This causes subluxations (partial dislocations) of varying degrees with every movement of my head and spine. So, my skull partially dislocates thousands of times every day, holding on by around a millimetre of bone. This then crushes my brain stem, spinal cord, and cranial nerves. The list of issues and terrible pain this causes is huge.
