kir0211 Awesome been vegan 20 years. My mother in law gave us a leather jacket to sell grossed me out even touching it. I will be sharing your closet most then lol! Idk where you live, but there are tons of great cheese alternatives in the US.

That is really great to hear!! yes!- I have started trying some of the alternative cheese substitutes, not so bad! :) How do you handle like get togethers or family events? I don’t like to feel as though I’m inconveniencing anyone-I feel vegetarian is more doable in that sense and also restaurants? I know there are some that are starting to get more options!

kir0211 It’s tough especially with older people like grandparents they just don’t get it and never will. They ask the usual “so you don’t eat fish either? Can you have pasta with cheese ? I just kinda laugh it off and say nothing that was or is an animal. My Mom and I bring our own food to eat and most of the time people end up liking that most and it makes it less awkward.

kir0211 My Mom has been vegan most of her life and my little brother who is 25 never ate meat either. We were just raised that way so it’s all we know thankfully. Going out to eat can be challenging I try to pick places that have vegan options and regular. Happycow and vegguide . Org everything before going out sometimes I call the restaurant and ask what can be made. Thankfully, it’s become a lot more common so it’s easier years ago there was no fake meat, cheese, or options anywhere.
