kfmitchell79 @pohlman65 thank you for your concern. I believe sometimes they get so old they rot and it’s not noticeable until you put them on. I had a nice pair of white sandals that did the same thing except I was wearing them at school when they fell apart!! I was so embarrassed because Clark’s are supposed to be a great brand!! I did take several photos of the shoes before throwing them away. Don’t worry about it! Sometimes we come across a lemon every now and then!
