thisgirlmarlo Hey, new Posher! Hope you've been finding your way around and getting good deals! My teenage daughter showed me how to set up my Poshmark closet. kdwilke63 @thisgirlmarlo I just heard of Poshmark through my husband's boss & bought my first few items. I wondered if items sell ok with pictures of clothing items on the hanger. I detest pictures of myself. Friend that introduced me has a manequin, but I don't want that expensive purchase right now.

thisgirlmarlo @kdwilke63 there are so many ways to set up an eye catching cover shot. A selfie is fun and sometimes people just shoot the neck down to show the clothes. My daughter models for me but I don't shoot her face. Without a model or display fixture, you can shoot aerial photos with the item laid out on the floor or a backdrop. This gives you the ability to style by adding a pair of shoes in the corner, etc. Hanger on the wall is ok but a nice wooden one looks better.

thisgirlmarlo @kdwilke63 also I've been looking into mannequins and there are hollow plastic display forms that are half-shell and open in the back that are very inexpensive and easier to ship. That might be a good starter before investing in a solid form. Try searching plastic hollow mannequin or something.

kdwilke63 @thisgirlmarlo. great ideas. I have the possibility of getting a old fashioned wire standing dress form. I will look at the hollow idea as well. The aerial shots would be easy to do. Thanks!

thisgirlmarlo @kdwilke63 yes I agree! I noticed someone using a wire one in their pics yesterday. I like that they let light through so you can see how sheer or opaque the fabric is.
