tayawaya1 I made a bundle offer on 2 pairs of your awesome shoes. You already sent me 2 separate private offers on them that would’ve totaled $42, minus req shipping discount. I think the bundle offer of $36 should be approximately the same earnings as the 2 separate orders and would work out better for both of us.check my math though, I might be off. Thanks!

tayawaya1 Poshmark can keep more money from the sellers when there are separate orders. Check your earnings for the 2 separate private offers versus the bundle and let me know. I’m curious how it works out too! Thanks, Taya

kattiva_13 @tayawaya1 hi there, I'm pretty sure their cut is 20% regardless. It's pretty steep, considering a lot of items are "reposhed". I'm new at this, so I'm still trying to figure it all out. thanks :)

tayawaya1 @kattiva_13 I started out reposhing too! The thing about making private offers is that Poshmark requires you to give discounted shipping, which decreases your earnings. If somebody makes you a direct offer, you keep the money that would’ve reduced your earnings if you had to absorb shipping discount amount ($2-$7).

tayawaya1 So the 20% cut Poshmark gets doesn’t change, but the cost for shipping is reduced for both of us. You can only make a private offer on one item, and you have to discount shipping on it. Then if you make a private offer on another item, you reduce your earnings AGAIN because of the shipping discount requirement.

tayawaya1 That’s why the buyer making a bundle offer saves money for shipping and the seller earns more because they aren’t required to discount shipping on 2 items/orders. I know it’s confusing, and as a seller, I haven’t been in this scenario with giving 2 private offers to the buyer versus a buyers bundle offer, which doesn’t effect the earnings I receive because shipping amount doesn’t effect me.
