sansoucy @kassychesire Awe so happy and grateful for you rescuing him❣I got my boy Jax in 2014 and he helped me w the death of my parents. He was a purebred and I picked him out of two diff litters a total of 14 puppies. At 2 1/2 he was diagnosed w SLE Lupus ...have no idea why and I did my best to give him a great life...I knew he would not live to be the average lifespan and I lost him last year on 6/8.

kassychesire @sansoucy oh no, I’m so sorry to hear that 😭 I can’t imagine how hard that must have been / still is, especially after losing your parents. You gave Jax the best life he could’ve had, given the circumstances! My Ned is nearly 2.5 years old right now… I hope he’ll be with me for 10 more years but I try not to take any of our time together for granted, just in case 💞

sansoucy @kassychesire I have never known another dog to have SLE Lupus which affects skin,joints and organs. There is DLE Lupus which only affects skin. Most dogs don't make it past the year of diagnosis and Jax lived 4.25 more so I must have done something right❣

sansoucy Yes it has been very hard ...I got Jax to help get over the death of my parents my Mom in 2012 (Alzheimers) she has been gone almost 10 yrs (next month) and my Dad 2014 who had his bladder perforated by a Urologist and died 10 days later.....was supposed to be a simple cystoscopy ( scope up into bladder) ! Never thought about the day I would lose Jax but after his diagnosis I thought of it everyday....
