How does one find modeled pics of actual items and how do you get such well-lit pics with white backgrounds? I'm not the best with tech but I'm trying to learn... Older generation who appreciates your advice. 😊 💕

lavender_kat Use “Savage Seamless Background Paper” for photos. It’s non-reflective, and available online. I use an iphone 7 + camera, and crop and brighten if necessary. If the photos won’t fit (maxi dresses are the worst!), I use the PicStitch app to create a collage that will fit the Posh photo box. I try to also add a stock photo, if I can find one, for style purposes- although I’ve never gotten a clear answer from anyone on whether this is allowed or not. Do you know?

lavender_kat I also use a non-painted Ikea table top for items that look too washed-out on a white background, and a fluffy white piece of fabric for other things like shoes, or fabric/detail close-ups. 😃

gorgeousnyc @kat_fashions thank you for your help. I will try your suggestions for the white paper and collage apps. How do you find the appropriate stock pics? I see many Posh sellers use them and I assume they are ok. When I use a "modeled" pic that is close to what I have to sell, I disclose that it is for style inspiration only, but I would like prefer accurate stock photos where possible. I just don't know how you'll look them up. 😊 💕

lavender_kat @gorgeousnyc Hi, you can usually find them by typing the brand name and description into Google, along with the RN (retail number) found on the tag. For example: J. Crew Floral Dress RN 77388. Just search until you find an exact match. Current items are easy to find, vintage can be much harder.😀
