Hi! I'm Kate. I'm a sucker for the unique and unusual and have a particular love of vintage from the 70s. I enjoy experimenting with a variety of textiles and have a soft spot for south western jewelry, jeans with a perfect wash, vintage concert Ts, embroidery, beading, kilim bags, and stand-out footwear. I have two amazing and hilarious kiddos who are 7 & 10, & I often post clothing/accessories/shoes they've outgrown. @divertida1 Have a lovely time in Boston! Great photos. I especially love the last one of your son and daughter. I took a similar photo when my guy was about 6 months and daughter was 3.5. My Margot is going through a bit of a bossy stage and I'm getting ready to read her Judy Blume's "The Pain and the Great One." It's so true what they say about the days being long and the years short. With kids time seems to fly by!

We're taking family photos today, (and at least half of what we're wearing is from POSH. It's quite an ordeal getting everyone coordinated, but I know I'll be glad after we do it! @rorojill Moving is tough. We got out of Portland because it's just gotten too crazy, and I still don't really feel settled a year later. But luckily we have some good thrift/vintage shops and Posh has helped keep me busy. It's been a great way to rehome clothes I no longer us and have the income to buy special new pieces. I've found some real treasures on here and hope you do too๐!

I'd get my photo taken with them, they'd give us free wallet-sized prints, and I'd inevitably be like, nah, not into it, and grow them out...repeat for the next three years! @magiedcat I'm really into 70s denim at the moment (bellbottoms and Wranglers). I also got rid of a Cure "inbetween days" shirt that I had in hs that I'd be super pumped to replace. And I'm always on the look out for unique kid's clothing. I'm having a lot of fun dressing my 2-year-old boy and will do it for as long as he lets me ๐!

@magiedcat Exactly! I should have clarified. So when I'd share vintage, I'd search closets using vintage as the brand, and I'd revisit closets I really liked and would notice they'd also have really great modern items too, which I felt like I had missed the first time around. So it made me wonder what other rad stuff I was missing. So now I tend to share back and also share based on searches for things that I like and would buy myself. Hope that makes sense!

@k8tron I know exactly what you mean and I agree totally. I think I may do one group one day and another group the next. I feel like a lot of closets seem to be mainly one or the other...so makes sense for them to limit. But when you have a balanced mix in your closet, hard to find the overlap in those groups of peeps. I like to sometimes do a search on something random (ex: gingham, Lego, embroidered, etc) and share. I found some really cool stuff that way.

Well, as a little sister of 2 older brothers Iโd have to disagree, they resented me too much to be nice to as kids ( my dadโs fault) but, my Beckett boy is a sweet caring older brother but even though they are almost 8 yrs apart they still squabble a bit. There's def a market for vintage clothing, the right person just has to find your pieces. I also use key words in my listings that I search for myself. I bought a lot before I started selling.

I've learned never to pay attention to vintage tag sizes because the actual measurements are more important and have found that sometimes garments I would have thought would be too big actually look great. The whole decade of womenโs wear in the 60โs is a big interest of mine. I like looking at the use of the new fabrics that were becoming available during that time. I of course like the olโ 70โs! They blocked me out of my closet and everything for 24 hrs last wk because i had had trouble getting things shipped on time. Which caused a cancellation of one of my sales. I have to stay with my mom pretty much 24/7. I have a little help but far from enough. I have had to learn who i can trust with mailing a pkg and who will forget. On top of that, yesterday am at 10:18 i got a notification from a girl i knew here on posh. She had bought an LV wallet from me a few days before. I had hard tome selling wallet because I couldnโt find a date stamp on it.

I called LV co and the guy told me sometimes the smaller items didnโt end up with the dates stamps. Now this girl bought this from me knowing both issues clearly. She deals mostly in LV. To cut to the chase info about case was on email which i donโt check often enough. So when she couldnโt find it claimed it was fake and wanted money back, well, basically they had conducted this investigation.
