kattakitty @katelynfitchh Hi I was just watching youtube while shopping on pm, and I clicked on your video about the allergic reaction. And I saw you had Posh acct so here I am. I had an allergic reaction exactly like that. It is hives. I had to go to the emergency room twice after midnight bc it covered me in welts 70- 80 % of my body

kattakitty If I had been able to get my medicine prescribed it would have never got so bad. It happens very fast. First colorless bumps, then they get red, then they connect in welts.... girl. Since I was a kid, my magic medicine is Methylprednisolone. It is a corticosteroid.

kattakitty And as fast as it comes on, it will start disappearing almost as fast. Dont use anything on your skin, except some lukewarm water. While your face is damp you can try a little tea tree oil. It is strong and thats why I say while damp. I know my skin so I dilute it w a little olive oil so it doesnt sting.

kattakitty Over the years, noxzema, Avon Skin so Soft, kiwis, bamboo, dry leaves, some sunscreens and my latest is eggplant, all those started a bout of hives. Hydrocortisone made it connect on my cheeks like doll blush circles so I wouldnt use that. It almost always happens when weather is humid. I hope the medicine helps you. It should be gone in a few days no matter how bad it is. Sorry to use up so much space. I just know how it feels

kattakitty If I catch it at first sign of tiny bumps, a few tiny 2mg pills for a few days. But... otherwise I gotta take a 6 day cycle... 6 pills day 1, 5 on day 2, and so on. Sometimes need a 2nd pack (6 day cycle) Once I was away from home n clinic Dr gave me reg allergy meds which did nada. Then Prednisone, helped a bit then it came back w a vengeance bc those dont work. Methylprednisolone, Thats the one I finally got at the ER and it took higher doses bc the 1st Dr let the allergy just go unchecked.
