morbidkat @suzannahragen I feel a bit strange for putting all this out in the open, but I like to sew, and I have been wanting a dress form FOR EVER. Until I find one though, any tips or links you might have on info about how to arrange an outfit flat, make it look good, and get good pictures would really help. I need new pictures!

suzannahragen @morbidkat I love sewing too! A dress form would be helpful because some items just dont look very good without the form. Lighting is so important. I will carry items around inside and sometimes outside to see where I can get the best lighting. I also check different times of day because you want your items to show well and show the true color.

suzannahragen @morbidkat When I hang an item, I try to smooth the item to show well. If it wont stay flat, then I use tiny bits of packing tape to secure the edges of the skirt so it fans out a little or I tape down a belt or I tape back the shoulders. Just take the piece of packing tape and fold it over so its like double sided tape.

morbidkat True! I'm about to check out ebay and try to find a dress form. My mom has a really good camera so maybe she can help me. I've been trying hard to put the few things I have out there, lowering my prices and hoping I'll miraculously pull in a few sales before christmas this year! I've still got to find my scandanavian nephew some new shoes for school and he doesn't wear kids shoes anymore! This is all for the goodwill of my sisters kids and they are so expensive!

suzannahragen @morbidkat When arranging and item on the floor or a table, make sure the background does not overwhelm your item. If you cannot get a good photo then stand on a chair or stool for a better angle. I will be back if I find any helpful posts about tips. I have seen some! suzannahragen @morbidkat If you want to sell more, you need exposure! People have to see your items. Share each of your items daily with your followers. Go on sharing sprees as often as you can. You share other peoples' items and they will share yours. Target the ambassadors who have lots of followers and they are very likely to share back. Plus your items are seen by their 1000s of followers! Search for your brands and share those closets because those people are fans of your brands.

suzannahragen @morbidkat Do you know how to find them? Go to "find new people " and there will be a list. Follow each one but also share 3 of their items. Then you will stand out and they will follow you and share your items. Also go to the "just joined". Follow all of them. 80% will prob follow you back.

morbidkat @loopholer That's cool. Hey, do you have any tips on taking good pictures of clothes? My dad has a nice camera and I'm going to try to learn how to use it tomorrow but I need to find some good photo editing sites. Do you know much about whiting out the background of pictures? I tried to do one earlier but my hands are so shaky sometimes it's hard to outline pictures for that! Do you know if ithey're all manual like that?

loopholer I’m not sure about the editing. If we woulda met a year ago I could have told u (my ex was printer by trade) I typically try to use stock photos for my pieces that have them. It’s just easier and cleaner. But when I do my custom dyes, I typically have to model the item and then I use pic collage. I know the color wheel but that’s about it. Lol.

Can you maybe tag me in some listings that look like what your talking about so I get it right? I toyed with using the form and a set structure at first but it just wasn’t me. I’m all over the place and my closet reflects that lol
