thisismarybeth Hi! I just saw your review of the dress you purchased from me & I’m so sorry that you weren’t satisfied with the purchase! My goal is to leave everyone who shops from my closet happy. I wanted to offer an explanation for some of your complaints - first off I am NOT a smoker. I just moved into an apartment that was rented previously by a smoker. I’ve worked with maintenance to do everything possible to remove the smell & it’s been a huge ordeal. The dress you purchased was NEVER worn & is clean.

thisismarybeth I’m sorry it “reeked” - I think I might have grown accustomed to the smell so I didn’t notice as I packed it up to send out. I wouldn’t have shipped it as such if I’d known it smelled so bad. I’m very sorry about that - you have a right to be upset. But I assure you again, it was sent to you new & never worn. I’m very embarrassed by the smell. Again it’s something I’m trying to get fixed but it’s turning out to be much harder than I ever imagined. Maintenance has tried everything!

thisismarybeth But I’m not a smoker and I grew up in a non-smoking household so I’m well aware of how badly it can reek. I’m amazed how much this smell has affected everything I own. 😭 I might be moving out soon actually as a result of this.

thisismarybeth As for the shipping - I try to ship in a timely manner always! I tried to ship this quickly to you. However I was never told that this was being purchased for a specific occasion (I re-read the comments to see if you’d alerted me) so I wasn’t aware how urgently it was needed. I always try to ship right away but in the future I recommend alerting your seller if you need something ASAP! :)

thisismarybeth Poshmark gives us a 5 day window to ship items out before a buyer can cancel the order. So a lot of us just work in that time frame at our convenience. Again I’m sorry you weren’t happy, but I hope this offers some insight into the situation. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I loved this dress & was sad that I never got to wear it.
