k_laszewski @goldsisters hi, I’m new to this and have lots of questions. First, I’ve had two people message me wanting to buy, first one was obviously a scammer and requested I reply to their email ( asked if my dress had obvious scratches or dents) second one asked me to text message them at their phone number. I assume everything legit needs to stay on Poshmark? Second, I’m getting all these followers and shares, please explain how this all works. Thank you very much!

goldsisters @k_laszewski Hi. I recommend never giving out your personal information because it is usually a scam. Here is some information to help you get started. 1. Take photos of the item Attracting buyers to your listings requires taking high-quality, professional images. You can add up to 17 photos to each listing with Poshmark, one of which will fill your cover image. The cover photo is the most important image because it's what customers will see first.

goldsisters 2. Add a title and description. You'll get a space of 50 characters for the title, which is enough to include details such as: The brand and item name Item color and style Item size (dimensions or Fit) Whether the item is new with tags (NWT) or new without tags (NWOT) Your title will help shoppers decide if they want to learn more about the product. When interested buyers click on your listing, you can use your description to provide even more info.

goldsisters The final step in creating your listing is to set a price. Add the original price of the item and your listing price. If you don't know the original price, search for your product online to determine its initial price. The listing price you offer will largely depend on the item's condition and the original price. Most products sell at a 60% discount, but it's fair to ask more for popular or rare items.

goldsisters If you aren't sure how much to discount, you can search for similar things to get an idea of the sale price. Once you enter a price, hit the List It button to publish your listing. When a customer buys your item, Poshmark will send you a confirmation email with a free pre- addressed shipping label. You just have to print it out, put it on your item's packaging, and schedule delivery.

goldsisters Posh Parties are real-time virtual events that Poshmark hosts at different times of the day. Each party focuses on a specific category and invites shoppers to buy or share the listed items. If your products match a theme, share them with the party. It's a great way to reach an audience. Plus, you get to build a following by sharing listings of other Poshers. Most of them will reciprocate by following you back. I hope this information is helpful with getting you started.

k_laszewski @goldsisters thank you for that info. I have already created and posted my listings, the part I don’t understand is all the following and sharing and parties. Should I follow all these people back..is that how you get more exposure for your items. Don’t understand the sharing at all?

goldsisters
goldsisters @k_laszewski Yes it’s a good idea to share some of their items and follow them back. This will increase your closet’s exposure and lead to more sales. Try to attend as many parties as you can. Also sharing and following

k_laszewski @goldsisters I’m new to Poshmark and have a question. Is it normal for someone to reply they want to purchase your Item but want to see additional pictures and want them sent to their personal email? Is this a scam. This person has no listings.

goldsisters
goldsisters @k_laszewski Yes, it is most likely a scam. I never reply to people who ask me to rest to their email or cell phone.

k_laszewski Another question please, where or when do I enter my bank account info to receive payment for sales? Didn’t see it when I was setting up account. Is it after you make your first sale?
