karens54 @kathys17 Sharing is what makes sales happen, Kathy. I see that you haven't been on Poshmark for very long so perhaps you don't understand how to make it work for you. The most important thing to do is to share your items. I see that you don't share your items very much and that is definitely one reason your closet isn't getting the attention it should. I share my closet at least two or three times a day. I make an effort to share to the parties, especially the 10 p.m.

karens54 party every night. The only way people will see your items is through sharing. Also, sharing other people's items almost guarantees that they will share yours. What I do, after I share my closets (I just opened another one @shoesbyk ) at a party is go into the host pick section and share the host picks. If there is an item you find really nice, leave a comment/note of congratulations, you will be rewarded with shares, I'm sure. Making sales and getting attention takes work

karens54 and participation in the community is vital to your success. The other thing that gets attention is your cover shots. When I first started, my photos were boring but after looking at other closets I got ideas on how to style my items to make them more attractive. Now, for me, styling my items is what I love almost as much as a sale. Do you make the aprons? I think if you really promoted them you would do well especially with the upcoming holidays. karens54 A few aprons, take really clear photos and share them like crazy. If you can have someone model a couple of them it would be perfect. Most of your photos are good, but if I didn't read the description regarding the aprons I had no idea what it was. The cover shot is the money shot so make sure it is eye catching. kathys17 @karens54 I appreciate all the suggestions. Yes I do make the APRONS sell many during holidays. It is difficult for me to be on here as much as you mentioned. I am an interior designer and I sew a lot. Just survived cancer and was trying to get some fast money selling clothes that no longer fit. I told a friend about PMark and she's selling like crazy. ??? karens54 @kathys17 Hi Kathy, I saw your new aprons and just shared them from my other account. They are great! When I first started PM it took about two months for my first sale. The next one was two months later. It obviously isn't like having a shop where people just walk in, you have to share, a lot! I've made 4-5 sales in the past 2 weeks and I credit it to sharing. Since I opened the other closet I spend more time sharing and it has paid off. If I may make another suggestion to you

karens54 It would be to work on your photos. Some of them are really clear and look good but some are distorted to the point where you can't tell what the item is. The cover shots of the new aprons, for example are very wide. Not sure if your mannequin is really big or it is the way you are taking the photos. Maybe you can try photographing one in a lay flat photo on a white sheet, just to see if it looks better. As far as items that are not allowed, I will tag you in a list in a few minutes.

kathys17 @karens54, Karen I did try different ways and some came out wide only on the first cover shot. When you look at it them in the closet it's fine??? I even edited them with new shots. ??

karens54 @kathys17 I'm not familiar with your phone but when you take photos do you have a "square" option? If so, that is the option you should use when photographing for Poshmark. Using the square option helps your photos fit almost perfectly. You can Google Poshmark photography tips. I am going to share my closet then go to read but if you have questions I will answer them in the morning and in the meantime I will see if I can find someone who uses a galaxy who might be able to help. 💕

karens54 @kathys17 I just left my cousin who has the same phone. You can get a square photo. Go to your camera settings, once there you have options for picture size. Select the last one 1:1 (4.7M). Let me know if it works better for you.

kathys17 @karens54 yes I found it on my camera settings. That worked great. Then I seen another Posher who's photos were wide like mine. I sent her the tip. Thanks. BTW so love some of your shoes wish I could wear therm ,havn't been able to wear heels since 2003 when I broke my foot. But I share them with followers..🌹🌹😙

My nephew in Montverde did quite well but my niece in Naples lost her car, her Tiki hut and the screen around her pool. She still doesn't have electricity. Hope you will get back to normal soon💕
