@katrinarose6 Good morning! 🙂 Are you referring to you BUYING or SELLING an item? If you are buying an item, you must pay $6.49 extra for shipping (regardless of price...hence better to bundle). If you’re selling an item, Poshmark takes 20% of your earnings. I’m going to refresh my memory on something & write you right back...

@katrinarose6 Hi again...ok. When you SELL an item, Poshmark takes 10% if the sale (before shipping is $15 or more). If sale is UNDER $15 (before shipping), PM takes $2.95. I don’t believe PM puts a sales tax on items. Honestly, I never thought of that. I would say “no”, because we (as sellers) get the price we set minus the 20% or the $2.95. I hope this helps & sorry I couldn’t answer clearer about the tax issue.

@katrinarose6 I know this isn’t considered an ACTUAL business; we sell our pre-loved garments & accessories here, as so many other sites on the web do. I don’t believe we could claim this on a 1099 for tax season. It’s like if I sold a shirt to my neighbor. It’s just a personal sale. I’m just trying to brainstorm to see if I could clarify your question. 🙂

@katrinarose6 As for this question...if you’d like to make an offer, I generally never go below $5-6 off of the offering price, as if accepted it’s almost like getting free shipping ($6.49 always added for the shipping cost). If it’s a pricier item, I make an offer of about $10 off. Always keep in mind that PM takes that 20% or $2.95 for themselves, so I always think of the seller & how much would they be ok with receiving for that item.

@katrinarose6 Alas, some people will ALWAYS try to lowball you...UGH! Everyone here on PM hates it, as it’s rude & insulting. You’ll see many Poshers have a chart in their closets on what’s acceptable & what’s not acceptable in terms of offers. I screenshotted & saved a chart to refer to when I first started w/ PM. It makes it easier that way. 😘
