Hi! I'm Kelly, a curator of high quality, unique fashion and a collector of makeup brushes and makeup (as you can tell from my set-up in the pics above!) As a seller, I look for styles that don’t follow any trend or fad, but items that are fashion forward without being fussy. Items that feel as good as they look and styles that you can wear for years to come. When curating items for my boutique, I picture a woman cleaning out her closet and the only remaining items are styles they’ve gotten from me. Comfortable yet chic. Easily dressed up or down, desk to dinner, lounging at home or traveling the world. I also strive to provide great customer service with a personal touch. I also take requests for specific items and if I can’t find them, I’ll even help you find someone who does. I’m open and honest and love getting to know the people who buy from me. Thanks my lovely lady, but not posh ambassador yet, I've been striving for what seems like years now. I will refuse to send my clothes out to folks who have no acct and end up as I've experienced not paying until Poshmark pays. I just don't tolerate it...but that is main reason. I've had no notice of ambassador. But mentor and top 10% seller etc, yes...you strive for no closed or groupie stuff, but I feel this at times. 👄👄❣

@deborahrn And I've read about cliques & drama on Posh, but fortunately I've not had any problems. I hate drama, especially when I'm doing this as my one and only source of income. I play by the rules, but I too have my own rules about what I will & will not do. I got a one star rating from a customer & she was a member, but she had never purchased from Posh before. She bought an item from me without asking ONE question, yet her complaint was that I wasn't detailed enough in my description!

I'm getting better (I think) at pic taking and cover shots, etc. You can tell from my listings...my first few are HORRIBLE in comparison to the things I've posted within the last month or so. So, I really appreciate you saying that. And my theory of 50 was something I used when I turned 41. I was 30-11. then 30-12, and so on and so on, Then I turned 50 and I was like REALLY??!! Ugh! 30-20 didn't sound right, lol!

One lives in Soho, another in Queens, one in Palo Alto and another in San Jose. I just love the culture of San Fransisco! Ft. Lauderdale is great, but the summers are BRUTAL! It’s nice right now (about 75 degrees. But I still have a jacket on! Lmao!

Although I do have one or two pieces from H&M and Forever 21, I've learned about the huge humanitarian & environmental impact fast fashion has. Did you know that NYC throws away 120,000 TONS of textiles every year? Compared to ALL EU countries, that's a disgrace as they merely discard 12 tons. NYC's landfill alone has 1,000 X more textile waste than the entire EU does! (continued)

@tinadotshop I shop for timeless pieces that won't fall apart after one wear. I love clothing & it's a joy to make it look as I good as I can in staging or editing. I only started this endeavor 5 months ago & my only regret is that I didn't start it sooner. I've got new stuff & things from the 1980's. Like a Bill Blass (When he was a big name in couture) denim jacket. But I truly appreciate that compliment. I hope others notice and that it reflects the quality of the clothing I sell!

It’s taken me some time to decide to part with a few of my more special items (like the embroidered To Go USA jeans - which were bought in Korea, lol! But, I sold a Dolce & Gabbana bodycon mini dress from the late 80’s for a small fortune and I was hooked! Elides, I can’t get away with wearing half the things I own cuz I’m too old!)

I look for quality in design and craftsmanship, textiles, and items that are unique and do not follow any sort of trend, making them timeless. @randeeq and I both have the same attitude when it comes to customer service. @alain1964 LAST MESSAGE! Lol! As I was saying, @randeeq and I have the same philosophy and unfortunately, this simple rule is rarely followed: The customer is always right. If they’re not happy, then I’m not either. I’d rather give them their money back than be dissatisfied with an item. But usually I can appease a customer without giving a refund. I’m a people pleaser by nature, so to me, it’s no big deal!

When I decided to do this full time, it was in part because a) I was completely burnt out and b) My mother is disabled and she lives with my husband and I. I can do what I love and take care of mama. @aviatortwin One other thing....I’m VERY fortunate to have a husband to support me while I build my closet. I’ve let it grow organically, picking pieces I think are interesting and high quality. If I’ve learned anything in the last few months is that there is a buyer for everything! I love to shop, I’m not limited to my size, and for a while I get to own and look at these great pieces until they sell.

I got caught laying in the middle of the road, taking a pic looking up at an evening gown. I had my 9 year old neighbor helping me, stopping cars from running me over while I got that “money shot”. I got it, tho! Sold the dress and gave my neighbor 10% of the sales for helping me not get killed! 🤣🤣🤣

My dad is in stage 3 of Alzheimer’s, so I know how challenging it can be to be a caretaker. @dndkelly I’m the type of person that LOVES to own all the pretty things, but never actually wears them, (in large part because I wear a uniform to work every day), but I LOVE that I still get the fun of picking beautiful things out for other people, and get to own them and look at them for a little while before turning them over to their new owner. @aviatortwin Oh wow...I just read your message about your dad. My father-in-law died of the same thing. It was awful. My husband, the eldest child and also male, is considered to be the heir to the family dynasty in the Chinese culture. When we went to visit, my MIL had to tell my FIL who my husband was....his first born child. My FIL openly wept. It was hard to watch. I can only imagine how hard that was for you and I am so terribly sorry for your loss.

@emmatrix Thanks, love! Playing dress-up is something I’ve done since I was a child. My first pair of heels were toy heels that my mama got me when I was 6. I fell all over the place, but I LOVED them. (they would never sell them in this day and age. This was...45-46 years ago!) I hate that I’ve aged out of a lot of today’s styles, but with Poshmark, I can buy at Will and at least play dress up with items before I sell them, lol!

She had low prices on everything! So, we negotiated a fair price and I took every last item and then some! I’ve got about 300 items to list. @happydaysahead Another thing I wanted to say about Brian is that he is chock-full of good info on how to get more followers and shares. He’s just an overall great Posher and someone to look up to. As a mentor, I send newbie sellers to his closet as an example of how to do things. (I reference other closets to newbies, but mainly @goodtreasures and @emptyhanger. Both are great examples of how to handle everything from low ballers to bad reviews. They’re the epitome of professionalism!)

@glamoursmadame My pleasure! If you want, I can send you a tutorial on how to style customers who’ve liked two or more of your items. It’s basically bundling their likes for them and sending an offer. It’s a good way to bump up your sales and gives your customers more bang for their shipping buck. I can also tell you how to do returns (with no cost to you) and how to use Affirm, which is kinda like lay away for Posh.

Here’s a thought about 50. You can only be 29 for so long. When I turned 40 I started telling people I was 50. Every birthday I just add 10 years. Now I’m 61, telling people 71 and the always react with “Damn you look good for your age!” 😁Like age has a look😎. You can use this method for the rest of your life🤣

@wimmerteri Hi! I'm glad you received your dress! USPS has been dreadfully slow lately! And I have 15 aunts and uncles on the Goins side of the family (My daddy's. I kept my name when I got married) so he's probably a cousin. I have about a trillion, lol! It IS an unusual name and most Goins' (or their parents or grandparents) are related somehow and from the southern Appalachians of Tennessee, right up on the Virginia border. We're spread out everywhere, now. I'm in S. Fla.

@thereikitree I just contacted Poshmark and was VERY STERN in my message to them. I told the I was angry as I had contacted them before to no avail and that you had been waiting on a pair of expensive pants for nearly two months. I told them that I understood it was an issue with USPS, but there had to be some sort of action that they can take when issues like this arise. This cannot be the first time it has happened. @kgsouthbeach Thank you, Kelly, for being passionate about resolving this issue. I just logged into my CC account and, yes, I was billed $70.44 on September 4, 2021. I noticed that all of my charges were billed immediately and didn't wait upon receipt/arrival. So you might actually have something here if it stipulates in their contract that they only charge once the item is delivered. If you look at “Posh Protect” it states that the buyer isn’t charged until it’s received and accepted as described or until four days utter proof of receipt. @db888 they are the exact same design, just different fabrics. One is a gauze type fabric and the other is a thin, silk like fabric. The gauze is more comfortable for summer because it’s more breathable. They no longer carry the silk like ones, so whatever I have left is it, unfortunately.

@db888 Unfortunately, my 3X's get sell out the quickest because I only get one per pack. Easel has a six pack minimum and it comes with three 1X's, two 2X's, and only ONE 3X! It's stupid! I did research before opening my shops and I found out that the average size of a woman in America is 5'4" tall and weighs 168 pounds and wears a size 16. There’s probably better ones out there, but I’ve been using it for so long that I know all it’s tricks and I’m too busy to learn a new one. @mmshellzz The best thing to do is find a website if you use a computer for editing or an app if you use your phone or a tablet and just play around with it until you get comfortable with it. Fotor works good with Chrome, so I use my MAC desktop computer and their photo editor to make the photos look better and then Fotor to make the collages and my cover shots. Continued..,

Most collage making programs do the same things, so it’s just a matter of finding one that’s comfortable for you to learn/use. It took me a while to learn all there is to do on Fotor. There’s also a website called orangeshine.com who has hundreds of vendors with small minimums. I started out selling pre-loved items and now I only sell boutique. No more taking pictures! I have a very good relationship with the folks at Easel and they were not to happy to learn their items were being branded as Anthropologie and being sold for such high prices because it reflects poorly on them as well. I hope I haven’t offended any of you in any way as that was not my intention. I simply do not like people who attempt to take advantage of others to make a few extra dollars, especially during these times when everything is so expensive.

Make up brush acrylic container with cover with pearls. They are $29.99 each and I have six of them that I stack one on top of the other. I have over 400 brushes and obviously need a way to keep them very organized, lol! They are durable and well-made. I should mention that the pink pearl option is more of a peach color.

@erica_sales Oh you did? I’m really excited for you! Are they the exact ones like I have? Each compartment has an equal number of pearls that are in a little plastic bag. You will also see a square clear plastic thing with little plastic bubbles. You put those bubbles on the bottom to prevent the containers from sliding all over your dresser or vanity.

The first one I got was sh*t, but a friend recommended Luxe beauty and I can wash (and dry!) ten brushes in a half an hour! I even have brush shampoo! (Do you think I have a problem? Lol!)

@kgsouthbeach , Kelly. Posh is just taking more time than I have. I have a lot of things still that I’m trying to unload so thank you for that tip. I still work full time and have a husband that isn’t really interested in me looking at my phone as much as it takes to keep a PM closet thriving. It’s just time. @nancyfolgmann No! I wish I did! But, I can make arrangements for you to come over to my house where my business is registered and where I have my studio. I do this a lot with people who shop local. It’s safe and I can make sure my assistant is here whenever you’d like to come. Let me know if that will work for you, then I could pull the styles together for you so they’re ready when you come. This is where all my inventory is kept anyway.

@cutehosiery Well, that was very kind of you! I'm actually getting ready to overhaul a ton of stuff. I'm going to get rid of everything that is older than months because I'm sick of looking at it, lol! Also, I want to be able to get a ton of fresh, new styles. I am partial to Easel because of the quality. It's affordable for what you're getting, but people are hesitant to pay the prices if aren't familiar with it. So, I'm going to meet with Easel to find out the best way to educate my customer.

Hi Kelly! I hope that you’re having a beautiful day! I have a question about the easel kimono. You listed the measurements for a large 27 p to p. I’m a XL or 1X depending on the garment but I measured a top that fits great and it is 23 . And it is pretty form fitting. So it seems that a large would work. Can I ask your opinion on that? I’ve had my eye on this kimono for quite a while! Your offer is so generous! If you have the time could you please let me know what you think? Thank you!❤️

Oh no, it’s only been a few hrs and I appreciate you for getting back to me. I’ll “like it” so maybe that will help but I received an offer on it from you but I’m sure many others did as well. It’s the Purple easel kimono that has the big ruffled hem. It also comes in sage but I’d like the purple. I hope this helps!
