stephanielynaeb @kmcurry2019 yes ma’am. I’ve actually had 3 open hearts, and I was newborn, 1 yo, and 2y. My heart didn’t develop right, so I only have my right ventricle. They had to go in and kind of “re-build” my heart, like find a way for it to work. So now I have to have heart caths every couple years…Do they still have to check on yours annually? If you don’t mind me asking☺️

kmcurry2019 @stephanielynaeb Oh wow, that’s wild!!! 😳 I actually had surgery just last year. In January 2024, they discovered the cause: a LARGE atrial septal defect (hole). It was too large to close via heart cath, though I did have one of those done. They closed it via surgery last July. Doctors were amazed I didn’t have significant heart or lung damage, other issues, etc because I’ve had this hole all my life. But I knew it was God who has protected me. 🥹💙 So yeah! I’ll have to do a yearly MRI for now.

It’s so neat to see someone fighting the same battle..it’s not easy but I’ve learned to just put my trust in God! I’ve always heard about “Sis. Curry”, and who knew! You’re so sweet, and your family is just precious. 🩷
