starzelda7 Hi Kimberly, Nice style of necklace, but you must not have read any of the signs posted on Maui’s beaches! No one is supposed to take any black sand from them. Look up goddess “Pele” and her curse!!! (You might want to change the sand in that vial & return it on your next trip to Maui!!😵)

knboney @starzelda7 Hi there. Thank you for your message and concern. I didn't take sand from the black sand beach in Maui. It's too beautiful a place to destroy with scavenging and I'm a person that believes in taking care of the environment at all costs. Although the necklace was inspired by the trip, I found packaged black sand and seashells when I arrived back home in California. Pele and I are still on good terms. 😁❤
