klupeke hi I am not sure what it was, one of the little links, the one in the middle next to the clasp, on the right side had a small ball attached to it, it came off and there were two sharp wires under it, my husband had to clip the wires off. not a big deal, but would not have been wearable otherwise, the wires were very sharp.
