@smurfy5 Hi Kirsten, I’m Silvia, I’m so sorry you said the dress have a terrible smell or odor, and that dress I hand washed myself and line dry before packaging. I do that to everything because I have a dog. The only thing I can think of it’s the softener I use, somebody else told me samething similar.

@smurfy5 The weirdest thing it’s the the same day I have 4 different orders and I’m sure at least 4 other garments were hand washed like yours and those people didn’t say anything about smell. Can you be more specific about the odor, I have to find out what it is, I’m so sorry that happened!!! Way you didn’t say anything before accept it, so that way I could reimburse you. Poshmark told me that after you accept the item they can’t do anything.

@smurfy5 Again I’m really sorry, as I said because I have a dog and she sleep in my bed and in the sofa, I just wash everything before send it out unless it’s dry cleaning only. I going to find what is the terrible odor, I don’t think it’s the lavender softener, it have to be something else. Again so sorry if it’s anything I can do, let me know please!

@silvimom64 I didn’t know how to contact you before leaving the rating because every time I tried to open up the original posting it just kept sending me to the comment page. The odor was a strong chemical smell that I can’t describe, but when I went to smell it again after it had been out of the package for a few days, that smell was gone! I can’t remember how you packaged it but could there be something in the packaging that is causing some clothes to smell bad when first unwrapped?

@silvimom64 I had one other question... there are belt loops that make it seem like maybe there was supposed to be some sort of belt or tie that went around the waist. Nothing was mentioned about this in the ad, but the price was low enough that it doesn’t really bother me.

@silvimom64 Since the smell has almost completely disappeared I have changed the rating to 5 stars and removed the comment about the odor. Thanks for reaching out, I am happy I was able to adjust this because I never like giving anything lower than five stars!

@smurfy5 Hi, maybe you’re right because I just change the laundry detergent for a brand that’s base on plants because of one of my grandkids, and since then you’re the second person that tall me about a strong smell and first I think that maybe I use too much softener and it’s the laundry detergent instead.Thank you so much for letting me know, because I always clean everything before shipping it so my costumer received it fresh cleaned and I’m not accomplished that.

@smurfy5 Unfortunately I received that way from another posher, I just repaired the seams that was undone and re-posted because it wasn’t a good fit for me. I completely forgot to disclose that I’m my post, so sorry about it. That’s also the reason for the lower price. I think if you got a black satiny ribbon that could work and give you a more polished look. The dress it’s beautiful I’m too tall and too old for it, hope it works for you. I love desigual designs!

As I said before I always do my best to send everything fresh clean and in excellent condition and this time I failed. Thank you for giving me the chance to talk and explain what I think it happened, that it wasn’t that I don’t care how I send my items. Always send things the same way I like to receive them for my that’s basic respect to my fellow Posher.
