stars_vintage_ Hi there, if the smell of the Bounce Fresh Scent dryer sheets that were placed in the package in case of any dampness getting into the packaging (dryer sheets will absorb the water and protect the $1500 fur coat) you need only do a sun bath to remove the smell. Directions to follow

stars_vintage_ Place the fur flat on a cotton sheet or towel. Place into the sun for 1-2 hours. Then turn the coat inside out and repeat. This will also remove any natural smells that might occur after wearing. This is like magic to remove smells. You can also hang in the SHADE but that will take a day or two. Bring it in at night. Under no circumstances expose it to damp weather. Do not use baking soda, vinegar and lemon juice.

stars_vintage_ When storing at home make sure to use cedar, no mothballs, to store laying down (not on a hanger) in a breathable garment bag or wrapped in 100% cotton sheets and to guard against any moisture as it will rot and destroy the fur. Fur should be professionally cleaned by a furrier ever year to protect it from drying out
