pie_in_the_sky - You asked me how I know that these items are fakes. I know because if you look at the item closely and compare it to the same item from the Gucci website, you will see that it is not the same. Look closely at the color and details of Gucci's then look at the brassy color of the fake. Authentic Gucci's do not look like the fake.

pie_in_the_sky - Also, what you will receive all have the same serial number as all of the other fakes of the same type. The serial number is on the last line (4th) right under the size. Real Gucci belts have unique numbers on that line. It is a the control number -- which is unique to every belt or bag. Fakes all have the same. You may see a GG Marmont belt serial number with either 1000 (which they copied right off of Gucci's website) or 480199.

pie_in_the_sky - example: 400493 <- This line represents the belt design. APP003 <- and the belt color. 100-40 <- This is size. The first number is centimeters and second number is inches. 480199 <- This is the serial or control number, the ones that use this specific number are fake.

pie_in_the_sky - Additionally, An authentic Gucci belt or purse will feature even seams along the sides and bottom of the belt or bag. A real Gucci will not pucker at the seams or have threads dangling off of it anywhere. Gucci quality control will never allow that to go out of the factory.
