alwaysposhible @rae_rae460 I’m happy to help! First of all, try to pick a name without the underline (“_”) & something that’s easy to remember. Then, have a bunch of alternative names ready in case your 1st & 2nd choices are taken. It’s helpful if you conduct a search of names (use the magnifying glass 🔎 & switch the search of “listings” to “names”...

alwaysposhible @rae_rae460 ... Type your proposed names to see if it’s taken. If the name isn’t found in the search, then it’s likely that the name is available. You’ll then contact Poshmark support to formally submit your request to change your name & they’ll either approve it or not.

akkristina @rae_rae460 It took me like a month. If you go hard core with sharing you can do it fast. Click on your user name in the lower right side of your screen like 2 times then there’s a menu. Scroll down to Posh Stats to find out where you are. This area is great to keep track of all your stuff too like balance etc

akkristina Plus sharing is how you advertise so share share share! Others will share back and it’s free ads for you. Also there are three parties a day. If I can, I share my whole closet to those. The one at night you can share anything to. Then I go and share random people’s things and they share back then next thing you know I have sales!

akkristina Once you get even further down the Posh rabbit hole, there are even Posh games to get followers, shares, and sales. Holy crap there’s a lot. I’ve been selling since November and made quite a bit but I literally just discovered the games and there’s sooo many. I can tag you on one if you want. You have to be active though. Good luck!! 🥰🥰

I’d type in things like, “How to take photos on Poshmark”, “How to price merchandise”, “How to be successful on Poshmark”, etc. I treat YouTube like Google! To answer your question, tap on your name in the bottom right hand corner & scroll down to POSHMARK SUPPORT CENTER & then “CONTACT POSHMARK SUPPORT”...

I will tag you on a listing in my closet that references 3 YouTube videos which debunks the theory of this making you successful. Poshmark wants you to do community shares because it’s like window shopping - you might see something you like and make a purchase, Poshmark keeps 20% of that sale...

alwaysposhible @rae_rae460 ... For a year I sent a survey to my customers who purchased from me and asked how they found me or the item(s) purchased - they all said the same thing: they did a search. Also, many of them weren’t following me, so trying to gain followers is also a myth. I was able to confirm this with a Poshmark employee when I attended PoshFest in 2019...

They will provide actual data and supportive information to support why community shares and gaining followers won’t make you successful. One of these Posher‘s does this full-time with her husband and makes a six digit annual income (she also cross lists on platforms like Μεrcαri, Εtsy, eΒαy, etc.). She was my mentor when I attended PoshFest 2019.

alwaysposhible @rae_rae460 Check you out! You’re movin’ & groovin’ with your closet!! Another app that you might want to consider is a new one (and my favorite) quickly, easily & automatically creates a solid white background. It’s called PhotoRoom. It’s free if you don’t mind having the PhotoRoom logo on your photos, I paid for the subscription ($5/month). Simply click on the “+” to add your photo, then pick the format (I use classic) & it’s ready!

alwaysposhible @rae_rae460 If you look at the 3rd listing in my closet (FILA shoes), I used Pic-Tap-Go since the shoes are shiny & my photos looked yellowish. Then I used PhotoRoom since I photographed the shoes on a white poster board (yet there were some dents/marks on the board). Voilà...the “after” photos looked waaaay better!

alwaysposhible @rae_rae460 Sometimes I will look for a stock photo for my cover photo, especially for name brand items. I’ll conduct a search in Google & if I find one, I save it & use the free app Square Fit (which also allows the ability to add text, stickers & emojis). I also use the app Phonto if I want to add the brand logo to my cover photo.

alwaysposhible @rae_rae460 Absolutely! I’ve seen a lot of homemade items listed for sale on Poshmark! With your current listings, may I suggest updating the titles. It’ll help when people conduct a search. For instance, the New Balance shoes - I would update the title to: NEW BALANCE Women's 720v3 Comfort Ride Running Shoes. If that is too long of a title, then take out the word “Women’s”. Also, if you do a Google search with that, I saw a stock photo for this shoe (I think it was Amazon)...

Take advantage of free supplies from USPS.com such as boxes (I only get the large & shoe box), padded envelopes (which I use to line the bottom of the box & one on top), the clear pouch for your shipping label (it’s called “small customs declaration pouch - form 2976ES), USPS stickers & Fragile stickers. 📦

To answer your question about creating a listing, download the app Typorama (not sure if there’s a fee since I’ve had it for so long). You can pick a stock image, color or a photo to use as a background. Next, when it says “how do you want to use your creation?”, at the bottom, scroll over and select 1x1...

Create your message & at the bottom select what color you want. You can move, shrink, enlarge your text with your fingers...

alwaysposhible @rae_rae460 to answer your question about sharing to parties, it’s the same as sharing an item to your followers yet you select the party. Parties are four times a day, I only share to the last party (7:00 PM my time in AZ) because that’s the only party that you can share all your items.

If they’re new to Posh & I don’t see any love notes given, I created a document that kindly educates them & enclose it in my thank you card. If it’s not accepted after 3 days, Posh automatically releases the funds to you
