It’s funny you ask about the weather right now because today and tomorrow we are actually dodging hurricane hector and his remnants with some rain, clouds, and high surf. Hoping he hurries quickly away so the sunshine comes back in time for your visit!🌞 Koolina is a beautiful place. My family and I occasionally stay next door at Aulani... great place too! Aloha 🌸!

Yes, that is where we are going to- Aulani! My children are so excited. You'll have to let me know if there are any must do activities.

eprincessf @lsdrummond you can’t go wrong with anything @Aulani.It’s packed w/a ton of things to keep your family busy.My kids were all into the pools, lazy river & slides!Tons of fun! Don’t forget to eat @ the character breakfast, but make reservations on line in advance! Eat shaved ice and if you can go to waikele outlet & find Leonard’s malasada truck, malasadas are super delish! If I think of anything else, I’ll let u know or if you have questions, ask away!

eprincessf As for the weather, it was hot &sticky as heck today!I’m hoping it was traces of Hector & the trade winds come back soon.Try not to travel east bound in the morning bet 5-8 am & west bound bet. 3-6 in the evening.You’ll be stuck in traffic.Lock car doors esp. when you leave the car and NEVER leave things out in plain view in the car, esp while shopping.Stay safe & have fun!

lsdrummond @eprincessf This weather has been crazy everywhere! We are in San Diego and its hot and sticky here too right now :( Hopefully Hector will be gone by the time we get there next week. And lol we do not plan on leaving Aulani (do you think we need to?) so I hopefully we don't need to worry about traffic! Thank you again, we are so excited to visit your beautiful island!

eprincessf @lsdrummond You’re welcome!The only reason you may want to leave Aulani is to have other eating choices (esp. if you’re staying a while).There’s a small mall (Kapolei Commons) less than 10 min drive away.There’s fast food and restaurants, movies, Dunkin’ Donuts, Starbucks , target etc.

eprincessf @lsdrummond Sometimes it gets pricey at the resort and you just want “other options”. If you go a little further (15min from the resort is another mall Kamakana Ali’i) where there are more dining places,shopping and more movies! Again have fun, enjoy and be safe 😍😊🌸.
